Making a mix CD for your mom

I have a question:

If you were to make a mix CD for your mother who expressed curiosity over who this man is who her little girl is sending a lot of her money off too, what would you put on the CD?

I want to stay away from the overly depressing because I don't want to build that idea that the jokes are justified.

Smiths content, or solo content, or both?

Smiths tracks I would choose for a mom (not in any particular order):

-The Hand That Rocks The Cradle
-Frankly Mr. Shankly
-Jeane
-Half a Person
-Back To The Old House
-I Keep Mine Hidden
-Rusholme Ruffians
-There Is A Light That Never Goes Out (morbid, perhaps, but I fail to see how anyone can NOT like this song)
-Stretch Out And Wait
-Sheila Take A Bow
-Reel Around The Fountain
-Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want
-I Won't Share You

Solo tracks I would choose for a mom (again, not in this order):

-Now My Heart Is Full
-Certain People I Know
-Everyday Is Like Sunday
-Hairdresser On Fire
-Hold On To Your Friends
-I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday
-The Last Of The Famous International Playboys
-I Know Very Well How I Got My Name
-Sing Your Life
-The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get
-Sunny
-Boxers
-Tomorrow
-Come Back To Camden
-The Never Played Symphonies

My mom really enjoys "Vauxhall And I", so maybe first try that entire album?

Agreed - my Mum likes Vauxhall too. She says his voice sounds effortless. I'd also include The Boy With A Thorn In His Side, but other than that the previous list is irresistible.

Nar too many glaring omissions such as Barbarism begins at home, Used to be a sweetboy, and the ever essential Break up the family
