On the old tour page (http://morrisseymusic.com/tour.asp) i noticed at the very bottom this friendly notice:

* All Cameras, Audio/Video Recorders

YOU MAY BE EJECTED FROM THE VENUE WITHOUT THE
OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN FOR ANY OF THE ABOVE VIOLATIONS.

*AUDIO/VIDEO MATERIALS CONFISCATED WILL NOT BE RETURNED*
**WE REQUIRE A FULL PAT DOWN SEARCH OF ALL PATRONS**

I realize security differes from venue to venue, but have any of you SERIOUSLY had a problem with any of the above mentioned violations? I can understand most of them, but really........ a pat-down search? Give me a break.

Almost every single show that I've been to in the last couple of years I've been patted down. It's irritating and makes long lineups to get in seem even longer. Have they had many problems with crazy gun-toting Canadians showing up to venues? Not that I've heard. I dont' know where all of the paranoia came from.

Yeah, these are all routine rules, really. Most of them probably belong to the venue itself and not Moz.

Majority of the venues in Ottawa (with the exception of the Corel Center) are small, and at most, check for ID. I mean, if you came in with a massive Camera bag they'd probably send you away, but other than that...

Even at the Corel Center though, i was never patted down. Never even had my bag dug through (but i also haven't been there in over a year for a concert.)

While sort of on-topic: Have you even been to the Hummingbird Centre in T.O? How are they there (anal-security wise.)

Backpacks? Does that include small purses as well? That's kind of ridiculous. They can just check those at the front. And a pat-down search? well, there may be something going on we don't know about. Re: the comments Moz made about Bush after Reagan's death?
