Listen to the song again. Loud. And then, do it again. And again.
Kanye West has/had the #1 video on MTV with "Jesus Walks" - the love Jesus songs.
And Jesus loves the little children.

No...it should have been "I like you."
No kidding! It's not favourite of the whole album, but I definetely would have thought it was the most marketable of them all, including IBEH.
The mix of I Like You on the album is horrible. The drum beat (approaching the "classic" disco beat) is in your face, the keyboards are brutal (in this particular case, they are wonderful in other places on the album which I enjoy very much...) and the guitars are lost in the mix. I don't deny the song is a cracker, but the album mix is not strong. Let Me Kiss you is nice and Daddy's Voice and Candle would make for the strongest B-sides to date in my opinion.
Oooooh it IS good.
I agree that the mix itself is very un-Moz-like. He has tended in the past to lean toward more sparse arrangement. Well, the whole song is un-Moz-like, really... since when does he like something? Heh.
