FOr all those Non-UK folks, Thora Herd (deceased) was an eccentric old bat that used to host a TV show on BBC1 called "Songs of Praise" and she was also responsible for ruining Countdown on Ch4 with those horrid tv ads about reclining chairs for the infirm!
