The Boyfriends *NM*
Has anyone else here listened to the Boyfriends? I bought the new Angular Records CD after their song on it No Tomorrow was called 'Smiths-pop' by NME a couple of weeks ago and was a bit disappointed because it sounded more like 3rd rate Joy Division to me. However, I downloaded a couple of demos from their website and they were much better. One sounds very Smiths/Gene and the other one is a bit Jesus and Mary Chain. I see they're playing in London next week and might go along. What does everyone else think of them? The new Gene/Marion anyone?
