Default Rufus Wainwright (no Morrissey content)

Have any US peeps purchased the new Rufus Wainwright EP from itunes and if so would they be willing to let me have copy? The bastard itunes site won't let non-Americans purchase the EP and it's annoying me so much it's almost spoiling my enjoyment of the current Moz-fest!!!

The Rufus fans are less than useless at devious and underhand things like bootlegging (I think a bit of file conversion might be required) so naturally I'm turning to my fellow Moz fans for help as this appears to be their forte.

    Anybody???

As a fellow non-US Rufus fan, I am also frustrated by this. Especially given the fact that Rufus himself is a Montreal boy (you'd think he'd have a bit more consideration for us poor canucks!). However, it is comforting to know that all of the songs on itunes will eventually be released on his next album (the long-awaited "Want Two"). That said, it would sure be nice to have them NOW! Maybe they will soon turn up on soulseek?

Do you know anyone with a US credit card? They can gift $10 credit to a specific email address and then you can log in and download the itune files to your 'foreign' computer.

I guess it'll be on soulseek by the end of the week so I'll have to learn to be patient.

I feel your pain as well. I'm in Canada and am unable to access it. I'm sure a filesharing program will have it in no time though so I'm not too worried about it. I can't wait until the new album comes out. If it's anything like 'Want One', I'm sure it will be absolutely brilliant! And the fact that he's touring with Ben Folds right now is the best! I'd kill to see those to perform on the same night. I hope they come to Canada!

You live near/in Niagara, right? He is playing a FREE show tomorrow night at Niagara Square in Buffalo! I realize that this is Niagara, Buffalo rather than Niagara, Ontario, but I'm sure it would be worth crossing the border (did I mention it's a free show?! )

Yeah -- I saw that but unfortunately I can't go. I don't see any details about the show on the main website though. Do you have any idea what time it starts at? Why is it free? How long is the show? Is it just him playing?

can't go? i thought you left the site forever. now i see you were spying the entire time. your 'comeback' post has nothing to do with moz (typical you)...and now you cannot go see your favorite singer, because of some social engagement. you suck.

Nah, that's all the info I could find, too. It's too bad you can't go.

...However, Hawksley Workman will soon be playing a free show as well, and in this country, no less! It's Saturday July 10 at 9:30 pm, as part of the Toronto Street Festival. I will definitely be there!

ooooooh, I love it when you get angry, Terror. I hope you had a great Canada Day yesterday.
Your compatriots in London went nuts again. As usual, too many invaded the Maple Leaf pub and ended up in their hundreds out in the street. The cops cordoned off the street at each end and let them get on with it.
I walked past about nine o'clock and was really scared.

Hey Patty! We had a wonderful day. The weather was beautiful. Darin and I went for a picnic along the Niagara River and then we went to the marina because Darin's stepbrother and his wife were sailing in. They've been sailing around the world for 4 years! Crazy.
I didn't bother attending the annual fireworks fiasco down in Port Dalhousie because it's an absolute madhouse down there. FAR too many people.

Excellent! I didn't realize London had so many Canadians there. Glad to see we're well represented. You didn't join in the festivities? Just shout "eh" and "poutine" a few times and they'll never catch on.

I shouted 'Vive Le Quebec Libre!!!'.
It was meant as a joke, but dozens of them started climbing over the cordons to get to me.
As I ran for my life with cries of "Get the smelly french bastard!!" not far behind, I realised I probably shouldn't have shouted it.
    Bigmouth strikes again.
