    Default Come Back to Camden

Currently, my favorite song on the new CD is "Come Back to Camden." Can't hear it often enough. Love the writing, particularly the lyrical phrasing. The whole CD is strong. The only song I don't dig too much is "All the Lazy Dykes," but maybe that will grow on me. Otherwise I'm hypnotized! Saw one of his shows in LA at the Wiltern. Wish I had seen him every night!

I agree...I''ve listened to "Camden" several billion times and still love it. It is one of his all-time greats.

I instinctively find myself reaching to turn the volume up for Come back to Camden. I think it's because I like the music rather than the words though. What are we supposed to make of "Where taxi drivers never stop talking"? Surely he's not romanticising that aspect of London life. That's the most unappealing aspect. Perhaps he's saying ' despite the fact that taxi drivers never stop talking, I still love Camden'. Anyway Morrissey isn't using a taxi. He's using a great big fat BMW
