I live quite near-ish to Sandown and Ascot racecources!! is there a 'Kempton Park' or an 'Epsom' road in the estate??
You don't by any chance know what job 'Michael Rourke' father of Andy Rourke did?? I read in books that Michael Rourke was quite a middle-class man and went to Holland on buiness trips??
Or what job his Mum 'Josephine' did if she had a job?
Yes it sounds nice where Andy Rourke grew up!!! In quite a big house too in Hawthorn Lane!!! right by a handy bus root but the parents probably had cars as they were middle-class! Near Ashton-upon-Mersey village too. Very near All Saints Catholic school and chuch! Also his road was by a field with horses in it!! and beyond that the motorway BUT was the 'MOTORWAY' even there then??
Yes Andy Rourke has always seemed quite posh to me. He went to Grammar school and had a nice uniform and learnt Latin. He wore contact lenses which where quite posh back then. He had holidays EVEN abroad! I mean I never went abroad as a child only rich people did that!! and only rich people had cars!! I didn't grow up with a car either. I bet his family had central heating too?
In some ways Andy Rourke had a nice middle-class childhood but in other ways I think Andy Rourke has always wanted to show his more working class side! and play down his posh side! It is cos Andy Rourke has wanted to show the world how tough it is for people living on council estates and to show what inner city kids go through even though he was from the leafy suburbs. It's valuble work Andy Rourke does!
Andy Rourke went to a Sale Youth club? and didn't hang out on street coners! Also Andy Rourke had activites to go to and learnt classical guitar as a little boy that sounds quite posh to me! I mean to afford a musical instrament at all and also to have lessons is really posh!

Yes Andy Rourke talks of his Grammar school days. His Grammar school was an all boys school a bit like those all boys private/public/bording schools you get! The teachers wore academic gowns and morter boards, they learnt Latin!, they had houses, head boys and prefects, they had strict punishments like strappings, they had a sixth form? they expected to pupils to be studious and concentrate purely on aciademic work, they played chess, they expect to pupils to aspire to go on to Oxbridge.
Andy Rourke also talks of having school/church Jumble sales and stealing records and singles from them was this true?
(posh sports you get in schools are rugby, tennis, rowing! ect.. did Andy Rourke's school do these?)
(girls do La-cross! and hocky and horse riding things can be posh and also moter racing)

Re: One day not yet but in the future my book will come out, purely about Andy Rourke.

It will be a nice book and not say anything nasty about him but all good things!

The only Racecourse worth mentioning is the magnificent Racecourse Ground, Wrexham.

Andy Rourke is DJing in Wrexham next month on a Friday night. Should be pretty good.
