Chrissie Hynde & Morrissey? And...overpriced Moz tickets

So Morrissey is playing Akron...and I think around the same time The PRetenders are too. And Akron is Chrissie Hynde's hometown. Any chance Chrissie will attend Morrissey's show and possibly take the stage with him? Nah, probably not, but just a thought.

Also...I just bought tickets for the Akron show. What's up with two tickets for Morrissey costing over 80 dollars? We're not all getting rich on the stock market, ya know! Normally I refuse to pay over 15 dollars for any concert, but my love for Moz is such that I can't pinch the pennies with him. So be it. If Morrissey's Web Slave is reading this, please tell him it will be well worth the money if he finally plays "Late Night, Maudlin Street"!!

jumpin jesus on a pogo stick!
40 dollars for the concert in akron?!!?!

that is not cool

Oh, and as I'm spending the night of the 14th of February with Morrissey, apparently that makes _me_ his valentine! : P

It was $35 but with all the charges from Ticketmaster it ended up being $82.50 for two tickets.

Of course you could opt for cheaper seats at $25,but I didn't wanna be stuck in the back feeling jealous. I suppose I should've bought the cheaper seats and planned on battling my way to the front, but you can never predict if security will be dicks or not.

And that's why he knows it's necessary to rape you in the ass.

No kidding. $35 for tickets to the Feb. 27 show in D.C. Not including service charges. Ouch, baby. Very ouch. Ah well, it's Morrissey!

Re: ..overpriced Moz tickets $115 for 2

I paid $114 total for two chicago tickets. this is
the direct from ticketmaster price too! not scalped.

yeah, i'm dumb.

Re: ...overpriced Moz tickets

I selfishly wish the tickets cost $80 EACH, so the 'undesirables' (you know - the pushers, shovers, fight-pickers) would be more apt to stay home and true MOZ fans could unite and enjoy!

...Truthfully, I once paid somewhere around $150-$200 before (can't quite remember-charged it and tried to forget the exact amount!) through a broker to get front row! WORTH EVERY CENT!!!!

Re: ...overpriced Moz tickets

Right, the true fans are always rich. Makes sense.

What I meant was, that true fans wouldn't be COMPLAINING about a $30 ticket TO SEE MORRISSEY! Some people even travel across the state or country to see him! I certainly couldn't afford to do that (time-wise and financially) ...but I do set aside some MOZ-money each month in the hopes of his return.

It's paying the high SERVICE CHARGES on top of the ticket price that stinks!

Re: ...overpriced Moz tickets

but is it cool that Moz takes your money and hoardes it? and all you get is a show you've seen before.

Re: ...overpriced Moz tickets

the "undesirables" are the fans with money...they're bored and have nothing better to do and $50 seems like little to them, so they go and see a Moz concert....those of us without money to blow, have to scrape and save to go see him, and when we do wait in line all day without food, we still get elbowed to death by those rich fat snobs who think that their level of view much be much closer than the rest...

Can you spread blanket out any further? (sarcasm)
Those "undesirables" are sometimes those who have worked for their "wealth," and can afford to splurge for a concert ticket. What is so wrong with that? Why discriminate against those who earn a respectable living? Morrissey concerts are not advertised as being presented only for the poor!

Wild ea Wake - not a rich fat snob, but a person who earns an adequate living and should not have to apologize for the fact!

I don't know...I'm sure I'll have a great time, but see, after XMAS shopping my credit card was already almost maxed out. After the tickets, it is totally maxed out. Obviously the market will bear these prices, so I don't totally fault them. But I wish they'd consider those of us who really have to struggle to cough up the money. I'm sure Morrissey doesn't wanna just play for rich people?

Morrissey wants money and adoration--that's it.

p.s. do you like paying interest?

They've billed you for the pleasure....

I assume for that price you get to sleep with him as well (or an item of his clothing, at the very least)
