just tell me what to do..in slow, simple steps.
as if you were talking to a 7 year old.
*jammmmmmie!!!*
You can have a briefcase for each yahoo email address you have. Go to the yahoo homepage and below the search engine thingy there's a list of links. One of them is 'briefcase'. If you click on it you'll be taken to a page that invites yout SIGN UP.
Or use this link: http://briefcase.yahoo.com/
It's just the same sort of form as you fill in to get a Yahoo email address. Once you've filled the form in you'll be able to upload files into the briefcase. It'll hold 30MB, but each file cannot exceed 5MB. The filenames can't have spaces. There don't seem to be the same bandwidth limitations as with a Yahoo group so more people should be able to download the files.
Once you've uploaded the file(s) you will have to make the briefcase public rather than private. There's a little edit button to click. The you tell people the name of your briefcase and the passowrd you hve chosen. That probably means it's better if you don't create a briefcase using your personal email address becuase other people might be able to use your passowrd to get into your email etc.
This sounds really complicated. If you use the same link:
http://briefcase.yahoo.com/
And type in morrisseyanaheim for the username and morrissey for the password it will take you to a briefcase containing some of the mp3s from this year's Anaheim concet. Have a look at that first. It's a lot easier than I'm making it sound.

Actually, there's nothing to stop you uploading the file into that briefcase if you want.
