Default Shooting Last Night at the Palladium?!?!?

Yeah-I was wondering if anyone saw/heard anything about a shooting or something at the Palladium last night. My sister told me that a section of the parking lot was closed and there was blood all over. What happened, anyone know? Did anyone see anything? It wasn't Morrissey fan related? Was it? Because that would just be too(!), too(!) much.

I'm terribly curious to learn more about it…

I talked to Palladium security today. They said that one guy was beaten and another was stabbed. They also said that they had to eject over 50 people. The security guy said that it was complete hell for them.

He also said that there will be LAPD attending tonights show...

Thanks... My sister said that there where a few TV crews filming as they passed by and as they where getting into their car. So, her friends got really scared because they thought their parents might see them on TV. They were suppose to be studying for finals not at the concert ha ha! Still, they don't know what happened.

Yes it is extremly sad that is has come to this. Morrissey does not stand for violence or anything related to it. I am by no means a racist, my boyfriend and my step mom are both indeed Mexican, but the mentality of some of those people there ( I will not give them privilege of calling them fans) were very rude and obnoxios, and coincidentally Mexican. They were far from being gentle and kind. This saddens me greatly...

Default USING MORRISSEY FOR SOMETHING NOT REAL

I'm sorry for those mexican fans who truley are commpashionate. It's is not the fact that they are mexican, but I hate when certain types use Morrissey as a fashion point. That's utter bull@#!!!!! That's why I would never go to a show in trendy ass LA. Only SF(the 11th crowd), the most comprehensive this side of Iceland. Most europeans look to mexican culture as being glamorous, and it does have it's charm, but Morrissey has probably never been to TJ.

I WILL BE ATTENDING VENTURA(18) AND LAS VEGAS'S(19) SHOW AND I HOPE FOR THOSE PEOPLE GOING I REALLY HOPE YOU KNOW HOW TO HANDLE YOUR ATTITUDE!!!!IT SADDENS ME THAT PEOPLE WHO GO TO ENJOY THEMSELVES END UP GETTING HURT. Aww...

At least you don't have to fly 3,000 miles to get trampled on.

I found people there were just rude in general. I don't see how anyone could seperate one group from the rest. Then, there were some people who are just no help at all.....no names....and what is the point really? If you are going to get angry at a crowd for doing as it always does, then just don't go.

It was a pretty easy decision for myself and I don't have a tormented conscience for it. He doesn't change the setlist, his clothes, or his hair, and therefore, I assume nothing else from last time has changed. I have my own life with with own pursuits. I didn't really feel like adding anymore dissapointments to it, and knowing what a bad time I had last time, everything would be a repeat.

The coolest guy I found was at the youth hostel I stayed at and he was nowhere near the show.

You're right, elsberry. More than America, it's LA. Very distasteful.

Love, peace and harmony... Oh very nice, very nice, very nice, but maybe in the next world.

Much as I hate to hear about this kind of thing (there were some thugs in Leeds too, but none with knives!) perhaps it has something to do with Moz's material? I'm not suggesting Moz should suddenly turn into Cliff Richard, but why constantly going on about skinheads, glorifying the Krays etc... Moz's humour is being replaced by anger and bitterness, and it's attracting a different kind of "fan". Compare "I don't owe you anything" with "Sorrow will come" and you'll see what I mean.

You're right it's sad that some only like Morrissey as a fashion point and that's why some like him. And we (Mexicans) ARE glamorous and we do have charm *burp* (excuse me) Moz probably hasn't been to TJ, but would that make him dislike the Mexican culture. There's really bad parts here in SUNNY America too, but here we're to proud to admit it, cuz we're busy helping other countries to think of our own. There's bad places everywhere and bad people everywhere. If this is just a phase Morrissey is going through, then oh well, let it be a phase. Doesn't change the way I feel about his music, cause that's the only thing I can go by.....since I don't KNOW FOR A FACT how Morrissey feels.

I agree. People will do stupid things regardless of music. Some people are morons and they do stuff like that. I hate when people say it was because they were listening to such and such kind of music, that's why they killed someone. That's such an excuse.

Don't worry I'm not jumping down you're throat. I know you weren't saying it was Morrissey's music.
