generally he likes most films that were gritty true to life 60's films - although most of them arent great but at the time they were completely different from what was being churned out from the rest of the movie world - morrissey stated that he liked them so much because he could relate to them. being working class, northern values, the feelings of being trapped in the city, blah blah blah!!!

If you look back in ACTS, they dug out an interview with him around 1995, where he listed Romper Stomper (cracking film;russell crowes first flick, about Nationalist skinheads in Australia-Clockwork Orange down under) as one of his fave films
