That doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Radio 1 probably see Morrissey in the same league as Sting or Phil Collins. They are only interested in 80s revivalist bands or hip hop.
IBEH is more likely to be played on Terry Wogan's Breakfast Show on Radio 2.
