Silicon Carne and I scoured the whole of Manchester for a copy (well, several copies) of the NME and all we could find was last week's edition with mopey old Kurt Cobain (he's been a bit quiet of late).
Has anyone else had any trouble in finding the latest NME?

HMV in oldham had copies - and I saw them in WH Smith. Perhaps Oldham doesn't have a high proportion of Mozza fans compared to other parts of Manchester. :-)

There were loads of copies in Lancaster HMV and WHSmith....
Derbyshire reels as pop music magazine drought enters third decade

After a 30 mile round trip, I have succeeded of finding only one copy of the NME in sun kissed Derbyshire, featuring the up and coming youngster, Tommy Steele, and chart sensations the Beverley Sisters. As for trying to find i-D magazine within a 50 mile radius of Matlock, it would be easier to find rocking horse shit.
Well you're not missing much my darling, it's all a bit of a swizz. After all the hype it's only 4 pages (the next half next week!), but admittedly there's a gorgeous picture. They've obviously realised that Moz sells and are milking it for all it's worth. Bastards.

Heh heh. I'm sure I'll be able to get a copy tomorrow from the newsagents near work. Maybe the NME delivery drivers are boycotting Manchester!
