I read that somewhere & it seems me unbelievable.

Davey I, that wouldnt be Davey Hulme by any chance would it?

They have met because in one of The Banshees bigraphies Siouxsie had some rather harsh words to say about Morrissey and to be fair Morrissey has been quoted as saying one or two disparaging things about her.
I think it's possible they may not have had any contact during the making of "Interlude".Whilst not exactly the other end of the world Siouxsie and her partner Budgie live in France.
One of the board regulars will probably post the exact details.I do know she made a comment about Moz being tied to his Mother's apron strings.
Like we didn't know that already

They met to discuss ideas for the video, Siouxsie didn't agree with Morrissey's idea of the Union Jack image with a British bulldog thrown in there somewhere, and the collaboration ended at that point.
I don't like this song anyway, he should have done 'Perfect Day' with Kirsty MacColl as he was her first choice and Moz gave her the idea of doing a duet of 'Perfect Day' in the first place, but that's another story and the duet with Evan Dando is superb anyway.
i like that song! it's very pop-cheesy, but i buy in easily to that kind of stuff. plus siouxie is adorable.

"Pop-cheesy"? Are we taling about the same song?
P.S. - Radar, yeah I see what you mean.

Is this true? - was Mozzer going to do perfect day with Kirsty? God it would have been superb (Her & Mozzers voices complimented each others perfectly). Come to think of it, Kirsty really hasn't been as well recognised as she should have been. Everyone quotes fairytale but yet she was so much more than that one song.

Moz gave Kirsty the idea to do Perfect Day when they were all sitting in a pub one day talking about great songs to cover. Kirsty wanted to do the song with Moz but it never materialised, and she did it with Evan Dando instead, the final result was superb in any case.

That makes a refreshing change, I won't bother with illustrations anymore than

Still didn't bloody chart though

I agree with you, amazing, it would have been a stunning song. Kirsty's voice was so angelic and beautiful and unique- I miss her terribly. You're right- everyone DOES quote "Fairytale" but she was, I agree MUCH more than that one song with The Pogues/Sean McGowan. Her last album, "Tropical Brainstorm" is such a joyous, happy album. I wish more people would discover her brilliance. Remember, you can help Kirtsty and her family by going to Kirsty's site (it's easy to find, I don't have the address on me ) there, you can request flyers/leaflets regarding her death and the impending court case. It's time we put that boat captain AWAY. He wasn't even supposed to BE in those waters- they were/are reserved for diving. In fact, I had heard Morrissey himself told her about the place, Cozumel? and that she should check it out. But I do like the Evan Dando version with Kirsty as well. "A Perfect Day".

BTW, I checked out the site- it's: info@justiceforkirsty.org
"what seems like an interlude noooooow....could be the beginning of love..."
that one! tell me that song isn't beyond kistch.
Thanks for the link Colleen - I'll have a look now
I like you have been a Moz/Smiths Supporter since the early days. I'll never forget those days at school dinner-time, staring in disbelief/excitement at the Queen Is Dead cover when my mate had bought the vinyl (soo much better than my taped copy).
Cheers
Steve

Thanks, Steve ( that's my brother's name, as well )- It's so nice to hear from a Mozzer fan from the old days. I wore my "Queen Is Dead" cassette out twice! I agree with you though, the vinyl does sound so much better. All those little crackling noises- it sounded so much warmer. CD's are brilliant, but they can be a bit impersonal. Cheers! Colleen

That's not true! He actually chased sioux and they met, but sioux has always been less than flattering about Moz sine this recording took place, calling him an "asshole", they couldn't agree on the video for the single and the release and the whole thing did not go very well.
