Default Anticipation for the album & the tour (my first post)

    Hello, everybody.

I guess I shouldn't even bother explaining what Morrissey's work has done for me. It's been a constant example of how you can push the boundaries of songwriting with intelligence, wit, and extreme emotional depth in a short pop song. I'm blown away by the mystery surrounding him, and his albums are a constant source of inspiration and entertainment. I could go on, but. . .

Let me just say that I've never been so excited about an upcoming release. You Are The Quarry is so overdue, and this will be the first new Morrissey release since I've been a fan. From what I've read about the new album, it's going to be more daring than most of the stuff he's put out, with some interesting production and use of instruments other than the typical guitars, drum, and bass.

And as for the tour, I couldn't be more excited. I recently moved to Harlem to attend school here in NYC, and Morrissey is playing only SEVEN blocks from my place! It's like it was almost meant to be! I've never seen Morrissey, and now I get to see him right down the street. . . for all five nights!

Are any of you planning on hanging out before/after any of the shows? I wouldn't mind meeting some people with an interest in Morrissey/The Smiths.

    -Steven

hey man, nothing wrong with telling the world exactly what you feel and how morrissey has done something for you. I am one of his biggest fans and supporters, and you're right, the new stuff is long overdue, but very much appreciated. I dont give a shit what the naysayers think, the albums gonna rock and it's great news ffor all us "die hards"..some fans, you just cant please...some anus's here will find fault with the new disc. Listen to the whole fucking thing first and then make your opinions...even though you will,it still doesnt mean shit... Most of the time, the "naysayers" dont know dixck about goodmusic anyways.I think the album's gonna kick everyones ass. Glad to see you and I are in agreeance on a few things. Just keep liking morrissey bro, thats all you can ask for.
