Moz has only been in my life for about a year now but I am very curious to know about his childhood friend Linder Sterling. She has taken some awesome pictures of him including that beautiful cover of "Your Arsenal" and she does back up vocals on "Driving your girlfriend home" I am so interested in knowing how they became friends and such. And isn't she the one he meets at the "Cemetry Gates"?
AS if Moz isn't such a mystery, Linder is to me. Your information would be greatly appreciated.
Actually, I'm kind of jealous of her. I wish I could be her. What does she look like? Didn't she go see Moz when he was on SNL? And can't see her at the end of the show when everyone gathers and says goodnite?
Were they ever involved romantically? I'd like to think that they were but it didn't work because Moz thought he was BI and then realized he was GAY and they decided on a really strong lifelong friendship. Okay, maybe that was too personal. That thought helps me deal with my present love life ( or lack there of) situation!

Do you live in Manchester? Linder gives college lectures at the university. You can sneak in and learn all about her.

Maybe you are projecting, but you're probably right. Supposedly, the "rented room in Walley Range" is where Linder and Moz shacked up and did it. If that's not true Moz or Linder will tell you.

SNL stands for Saturday Night Live which is a comedy show that is on saturday nights out of New York. Morrissey was on the show and sang a couple of songs. I think Michael Keaton was the host. I think it was on around 1992 or so. Give or take a couple of years. I keep watching for it on re-runs on Comedy Central (thats a cable channel here in the US).

ok, I fibbed a little on the "girlfriend" part, but only because Moz gives away so little. however, it's probably true. there are lots of people (especially the ones who work behind the scenes on this web page) who have the insider 411, but they're obviously keeping quiet.

I think Linder's real name is Linda Mulvey. And I heard that girl at the end of SNL standing by Moz was just some devoted fan that got lucky and was able to go up on stage. But I don't know that for sure.
