Has anyone got a GOOD guide to Morrissey's Manchester, (the places past and recent associated with the great man),or knows of a Web site address which would help?

Well, it's not much of a guide, let alone a GOOD guide, but it's a start:

If you know what the place is called, the folks at the Visitors Centre will kindly show you on a map (free!) how to get there -- e.g., Salford Lads Club, Strangeways, Southern Cemetary (the place Moz and Linder used to wander, probably inspiring the song "Cemetry Gates"). There's also a guy at the Visitors Centre who can give you a walking tour of the SMiths Manchester.

I'd welcome any further elaborations to help with the woefully underdeveloped site. There used to be some good record shops with all kinds of bootlegs, but they were gone when I last visited Manchester. Another Rock'n'Roll guide to significant sites mentioned a Mancunian record shop where young Morrissey supposedly once worked. Can anyone confirm this?

He worked at a Price Cuts downtown for only a few months. It's abandoned now. Other good places to visit, is Joe Moss' x-clothing store ( The rehersal space on the fourth floor). The Waterstones bookstore downtown (he's known to frequent). It's fun if you get a chance to see the, the Ritz, Free trade hall, Palace theatre, and The Hacienda. Kings Road is right next to the tram when you get off in stretford. his street is the first left. 384 is a long ways down from the top of the road, but on the way there you'll see the 'supposed' "iron bridge" form "Still Ill". It's an ugly aqua blue and most of the Moz graffiti has been painted over. Your best bet is to find someone who lives there, become good friends with them and buy an A to Z map of Manchester. The indie records stores near Picadilly gardens are a good source for info and directions. Rogan's 'Severed alliance' is a fairly good guide for picking out the places you'd want to see. Also be careful when you go to salford lads club - try not to go at night, it's a rough neighborhood, but it is worth it when you come back with photos of yourself posing in front of the sign.
