Is that a wedding ring on Andy Rourke's hand?

Stourbridge.. A picture of the enigmatic Heather (Rourke)

> Is that a wedding ring on Andy Rourke's hand?

Ahhh. very observant Devil.. but it's his right hand.. isn't that a sign of divorce or separation? Relegating whats on your left ring finger to your right? Not that I'm well versed in things of marriage!! (ahem!!)

Anyway, to answer the question.. here's Heather on the night.. Pardon the lewd suggestion, but you clearly see she has no ring!! (haha)

She seems to add some glamour to the Rourke 'massif'. Some bloke even got his T-shirt signed with her name and her telephone number (well, probably a false number, but quite amusing to see him showing it off) so she's a minor celebrity!

I felt Andy I's Palpatations from here! Oooh, that sounds wrong. I bet she had to have a little 'lie down' at least though!

Anyway, forget Andy EI and Andy R, I'm watching out for that moment when Chill and Belligerent Ghoul get off with each other. You can sense their attraction, they can't leave each other alone!

Now, you're back in the game, so step up to the moz-solo plate with renewed confidence! By the way, what did you think of Heather? We're often dinner companions.. allegedly!

Even with those female derogatory terms that were used, I'm not touching that!
You think I need 20 minute ranting phone calls tieing up my phone line? As it is, the missing voice mail case has not been solved yet.

Andy I? Where is she, she does waft about at her leisure... I imagine she's like a Rourke superhero fighting message board/chat room abuse against her hero wherever it may occur in cyberworld. Her job will never be done as she fires up the Rourkemobile!

Oh, there's no need to be jealous, there is no competition.. As romanatic as this may sound, I fear I'm a one woman man you see, betrothed elsewhere!

You know what, that sounds like a great idea for a new reality show on MTV or VH1. The Rourke stalker gets mad,at say for example, someone from this board, then fires up the Rourkemobile(aka bike) to fight for justice against all those interlopers who dare to call Andy Rourke a dockeydick or a crackhead.

Re: Fly the flag - SLF TOUR 1999

Hey Patrick, did you see SLF during their Feburary/March tour 1999 ? They were supported by some Scottish band who did a fantastic ska/punk cover of Dexys 'Geno'. Do you know who they were ? It's been bugging me for the past 5 years or so.

Well, I was at a gig last night and was pencilling some ideas for a 6 part sitcom(!) maybe I could include the celebrity stalker.. I even remember looking over my shoulder for the day I suggested Rourkey needs a haircut!

PS, I think being called a donkeydick is quite a compliment.. pencildick would be worse!

haha.. stop your worryin Devil.. You're the board sweetheart! I am the southern to your northern magnetic tip. Or something like that!! And no offence to your anyone that knows you here of course!

No idea,R.
My latest stint in London started in mid-Feb 1999 and I wasn't paying any attention to tours etc at that time, though I remember that SLF were regulars at The Barrowlands on St.Paddy's Day throughout most of the nineties.
The last time I saw them was about 89 or 90, although that wasn't a St.Paddy's Day one.
I think the Pogues were regulars for St.Paddy's at The Barrowlands around then. Now THAT was something. Like a Celtic home game.

I've got a video of The Pogues at the Town & Country Club in London, St Patricks Day 1988 - great stuff indeed. Never seen them live myself, seen Shane MacGowan & the popes in 2000 - it was one of those occasions where my expectations weren't high, but I was pleasantly suprised. Couldn't make sense of Shane's between song chatter though.

Just a day and you live so close!!!!
I wouldn't have said he should take better care of Heather and get a job if it wasn't a long trip over the pond on a foldup bike.

I know, you should see them at the Cape May County Zoo and the Giraffes. But its quality, not quanity.

Yes, I think Mr. Improper would agree.

A couple of scottish bands names for you for the SLF support - Long Fin Killie?? Trash Can Sinatras??
No idea, but I think they were around at that time, and on the verge of 'making it'.

Does this mythical place Cape May have no wondrous boundaries?? It has a zoo AS well!! It's like the place you step into from the Lion the witch and the wardrobe.. an alternative universe that only the people in it understand or can see!

I wouldn't want to annoy that man. He's on the edge ALL the time! I'll take what I can get!

Nope it wasn't them, they had a name like The Red *******, something along those lines. I'll have to put the word out among the crowd next time I see SLF, some anorak will come back with the answer.

I guess you have to be a local to understand why the county has a zoo but no community college or animal shelter.

I suppose just don't ask if Morrissey is gay or circumsized and all is well.

Right on sister! Animals are treated better in the UK than humans! You should study politics. Still, be nice to rent a stroller (to wheel my big lunch box about in) and see the sights of cape may, whatever the surroundings, as long as I have a nice friendly guide to hold my hand!!

Haha.. good point. I didn't realise he was allegedly gay! (Don't start that one) Circumsized?.. interesting point!! But i'd never dis the Wings!
