Grim, another C list celebrity fell under my charms on Saturday.. mr Paul Parker ex ManUtd full back and England, ermm, legend. We had a a decent chat before I mentioned he was a looked a bit out of condition! No chance for a celeb p1ss though!

So when you coming down the home of the '7 goal thriller' white hot lane then?

I see Brian Clough doing his shopping in West Bridgford town centre a lot, that's in Nottingham by the way, where they have the 2 football grounds and Trent Bridge cricket ground.

Brian Clough called my Dad (who is 50) 'son' last year at a Burton v Newport County match. My Dad was chuffed.

I saw Victoria Wood on Saturday.

I've seen Sean Hughes twice in London, and I've only been there five times. I suspect he just struts around all day hoping to be recognised.

I saw him at the opening night of the Moz gigs at The Forum a few years back David.

It was at the urinal but that's just between you and I okay ?

Yikes Clare Grogan, I'd nominate Altered Images as one of the worst bands of the punk/post punk/new wave era.

God yes! Their music was awful !

Re: Paul Parker

I often wonder what went so terribly wrong with his career. He seemed to be dropped from Man U's first team very quickly and thereafter sank into obscurity. Didn't he go to Derby at some point?

so much to answer for?

ok.

Ruffian, I think you ought to write a book called 'the best of the famous Pisstakers' OK I know you didn't go to the urinal with PP. But you've had many a piss alongside quite a few b/c listers, strangely enough no females why's that? (pmsl)

David, I went to the same primary school as Victoria Wood, she had long since left before my arrival of course, so were did you see her on Saturday?

Johnny & Radar, ok look me in the eye & tell me you don't have at least one Alt Images record in your collections & anyway it had a fk-all to do with the music, she was/is fit as fk! 'I could be happy'.

Guilty as charged, but I wouldn't know what the album is called

Well, he manages Welling utd in South East London now!! My mate sponsors a game a year, and we pick the MOTM and have a load of beers in the directors lounge (which is rather like a working mens club'!) And they beat the mighty Hednesford which was a bonus, who arrived in the Wolves official team coach.. We suspected thay had nicked it. people from the Midlands are like that.. aren't they Bluey!

He even offered his hand for me to shake.. maybe he knew who I was..
Incidentally, I've probably been roped in as the Centre half in a cahrity game with PP playing and an Aresenal celebrity team with I believe people like Ralph Little.. so if that happens, I'll post the picture.. Sometime in April!

It's on the press ready to roll!! haha.. And as we're well connected with world famous authors (Goat), should be a piece of p1ss to get it out (top shelf).

'Happy birthday' was awful.. but I loved that album with 'Bring me closer' and 'DOn't talk to me about love' on.. Black cover, contact sheet insert, she looked good on that!

Re: Paul Parker

I had a look at Soccerbase (see link below) after I posted this. Hmm. He must have gone past 30 when Ferguson dropped him. The manager's always been ruthless about cutting players out if he doesn't want them in the team. I wondered at the time if this put off a lot of other managers from taking a chance with him. Blimey. I must sound like the Paul Parker fanclub or something. I wouldn't even recognise him if I saw him. Ginger bloke, isn't he?

> He even offered his hand for me to shake..
Was that at the urinal?

FAO Radar "young man" O'Reilly

Radar, I'm beginning to worry about you. All this football talk is so out of character. Has your brother hijacked your PC again?

You know full well it (was there more than one?) was called 'Pinky Blue'

'Dead Pop Stars' is OK. I do like 'Don't Talk To Me ABout Love', though. A proper pop song, similar to 'Sign Of The Times' by The Belle Stars.

Re: For Grim, C-list moment

I've seen more celebs since living in Manchester than I did in...erm...Birmingham.
Anyway
Alexander from 'Queer As Folk', a few Corrie stars, Jackie Corkhill from Brookie uses my library, but the best ones have been Johnny Marr, Andy Rourke, Linder Sterling (I served her once to some boarded envelopes during my awful retailing years) and to top that off, I have being kissed by Clint Boon.
YUM!
