easiest smiths song to play on guitar?

> I'm new to it.

Either Ask or I Keep Mine Hidden, which both have the same chord structure as follows:

G Am C D (or D7)

Simple yet effective.

personally, i find things with plain chords the easiest such as Cemetry Gates because they are basic major and minor chords. otherwise, i butcher it!

Panic's pretty easy too -
G Em G Em C D Bflat F (the last three chords all squeezed into the one bar)
I think the only variant is that there's a bar of D after "the music they constantly play"

Try 'There is a light', 'Bigmouth' and 'Please please please let me..'.. We'll they're in my repertoi.. along with 'Stop me..'

Good luck.

Re: There is a Light... and the tab is vaguelly here..

> There is a light? my favorite Smiths song!!!
F#m A B (INTRO)
Take me out...
C#m A EB (VERSE) X 4 (whatever)
F#M A B (BRIDGE)
And if a double..
E B C#M A
A A EB F#M A

From my memory (with no guitar here) just feel your way.. I'll play it for everyone at the first moz solo gig!

There's gonna be a Moz solo gig? Count me in. I do Jeane, I Keep Mine Hidden, Stop Me ..., Used To Be A Sweet Boy inter alia. That'd be a laugh, wouldn't it.

It'd be like one of the open Mic nights for Solo-ists and Moz-ites everywhere. Like you say, be a grand old laugh. Which would be extreme irony doing 'Please please please let me get what I want!

We could even get Blunenose to play her marraccas for us.
