I've been and I wont go again:
The place is a dump- within 10 seconds of stepping of the tube I was offered sex and drugs by some shady geezer (the sex wasnt with him by the way!).
I bought a pint of lager and it cost me £3.20. The main street is an absolute joke- covered in litter and with these horrible plastic gargoyle things on all the shops. And to top it all up the week after I came back they found these two prostitutes bodies chopped up in a dustbin there. It makes Armley Town Street seem like the Champs-Elysees.

Funny you should mention that Dave. I watched that documentary last week "The Camden Ripper". Not nice viewing.

In the height of the "Britpop" era it was seen by many as the place to be. God knows why.

It also has the added hazard that you could bump into Graham Coxon on his skateboard or Bobbie Gillespie on his bike Weird.

Good to see the old North/South debate being reopened. I await the fireworks

Dave.. we're out there on Saturday night (despite your Wilfred Owne description) going to the Underworld under Worlds End pub.. Come on down.. cheap drinks to be had in the Halfway House next to Camden tube. be in there about 19:30.

It's not that bad there when you've had a few.. of whatever you want.
