Has anyone posted the comments from the new michael stipe interview in attitude magazine? At the risk of being repetitve, here is the relevant bit:

The whole vagueness around your sexuality in the past puts me in mind of Morrissey.
He plays with it. He’s very English in that he’s actually taken that and turned it into an art form. It’s all part of who he is. It’s funny and catty and sweet. That’s what I want from Morrissey.

Are you still mates?
A friend of mine shot him yesterday actually (Wolfgang Tillmans) but I don’t see him much these days. The last time I saw him I took him to dinner in LA. I bought a whole load of people with me to tell him that we really wanted him to make a record.

Who came?
Courtney Love, Fran from Travis was in town so he came down. A whole bunch really.

I can’t imagine Courtney and Morrissey together. How did that go?
It was funny, the two of them. Courtney’s Courtney.
