I'm pretty certain he didn't.

I thought I read somewhere that he did "Cemetry Gates" one night.
You'd think he would of done "The Daize Train".... I think thats an amazing piece.
> Y'know, when he was touring with The Healers.
No, he did not play any Smiths tunes. He refused to play them. He played strictly Healers material.

But the crowd, they wanted him to...they kept yelling out "Shoplifters", "London" etc etc etc!
Thats nice...too many dicks huh??? no worries......she can take it.

I don't remember the source, but I definitely read that at one gig on the tour, the stage power failed and he did a solo acoustic version of 'Bigmouth Strikes Again' telling the audience something along the lines of 'This is the only time your going to hear this'. Don't know if any bootleg friends preserved it for posterity.

Thats what I read, yes. I don't know why I thought it was "Cemetry Gates" though.....

sort of like Moz when he first went out on tour......
I wonder if, after a tour or two, the Healers will begin the draw 1/3 of their set from Smith's songs like Moz did in 1999/2000

IF anyone did, i swear that would probably be the most in demand bootleg of the year!
Is there any response i can make that won't result with more unfounded verbal diarrhea directed at my mum?
No? Didn't think so. You might want to try thinking OUTSIDE the box one day, Improper.
> Y'know, when he was touring with The Healers.
He was very good when I saw him at ULU.. But he didn't do anything Smiths related.. Then again, sometimes, when he's tuning up.. it does make you think.. 'is that a snatch from a classic smiths moment..?'
set list from ULU april 2003 gig: Long Gone, Caught Up, Here it Comes, Down on the Corner, All Out Attack, You are the Magic, In Betweens, Don't Think Twice, Last Ride, Need It encore: Something To Shout, Bangin On
Ruffian
Yolu might want to try taking the dick out of your mom daily.....or the dicks(plural)???? that way,she might be better off??/ think outside your mum for a minute. Just because shes been on more streetcorners than the dallas times herald is no reason to get shitty with me,you shoul;d be proud your mom has so many gifts to offer. I am.

March 16 - Berlin - Columbiafritz
Altered Standard Set list (confirmation needed!) with TWO SMITH TUNES improvised by Johnny during a power outage!
according to the Loafing Oafs yahoo groups mailing list, there was a power outage half-way through the set. The room was dark and silent for about 5 minutes. Johnny broke the silence by doodling some bluesey stuff on his harmonica. He then strapped on an acoustic guitar and played what was reported as "Cemetery Gates" even singing a few different words at the very end. He then broke into an acoustic (and apparently instrumental) version of "Bigmouth" and the audience freaked. When done, he commented that that would be the only time he'd do such a thing. The power had returned and the Healers resumed their regularly scheduled set already in progress.
