Pat.. I was there early on the Ruts and the Saints.. when you were off fighting the spanish revolution.. working for the yankee dollar no doubt!
> And The Only Ones?? And student-bashing?? And early Roxy??
First album I ever bought U know.. Roxy's greatest hits.. probably 1979!! Mother of pearl, song for europe still move me. Freey was one of the, if not THE, coolest man in the 70's..
The Only Ones only had one hit though didn't they?

haha, yeah.. in my history books, seems like you people at the Sex Boutique really knew how to have a good time! Patrick, can you post a picture of yourself from 1976.. I'd love to see it.. I'll dig one out of me in my biker leather & Cut downs with Motorhead etched on the back! which superceded (and with much shame than seeing Hagar) 'Rush' being sown on by hand.. coz my mum wanted to sow something!

Well, as I'm 'fessing up to all sorts of stuff.. I saw Iron Maiden at the old Marquee... before they were big!

Your punk gang.. those veterans.. where are they now.. A lot of my lot, for their musical sins, are still doing it!

The Erith Heavy Metal Club had great names as well.. here's the roll call of that era.. Gravedigger Harris, Mad Martin, Killer Clive, Philthy Animal, Rabid Rick Robbo, evil Ekins, Ten Ton Tony, Ace(man) (that's errmm me), Luke Pick axe handle, Oddbod, Markus Overtone, Flame-on Allen.. we even formed a football team in 1980 before internal infighting and general disgruntlement meant the corner flags were eventually broken and the match balls stolen. I saw the light shortly afterwards..
Can I also say, when you took to doing a tax dodge and emigrated to the iberian peninsula, I was here turning to the alternative arts.. Listening to JAMC 'Somecandytalking' (for example) when it came out! which was the new punk in many ways!
Ruffian ( a punk at heart)
> ps. porky baldwin was a twat.
Haha.. he used to nick sub standard porn from the corner shop as well.. he was a big lump, but crap at rugby.. we used to joke about putting him on castors to improve his mobility round the pitch!
