Morrissey Behind The Music Update

Today, Execs. at Sanctuary spoke to Execs at VH-1. Yes, they often work on Saturdays.

To show your support for this project, you can send short emails to the following message board at VH-1's official site. This is a good starting point. Please indicate if you are USA, UK/Ireland, or Europe based, as this happening is contigent upon solid viewership in all 3 regions. I will give out the emails of specific persons at VH-1 if this is really on the table for serious consideration.

Okay, I just did this but it requires a very brief email registration on your part to make the post. Of course, you can fake your name, age, birthday, and all that if you want. Just a formality. Also you can uncheck any boxes that would potentially send you unwanted spam from VH-1. Takes about 60 seconds.

Mr. Proper : Music from Me Behind !- update

Sweet smelling music gloriously Played with all the farts from his bum!

There are also Moz and Smiths message boards at VH-1. I posted on main board and these 2 as well.

I was dancing when I was 12.....

Re: Mr. Proper : Taking it IN the Behind !- update

updated on Santa Monica blvd nightly!

Why don't you ask David T to post this (and the other thing) on the main page?
it would get a much greater response.

Check out the Yahoo Member Directory records of people who listed Morrissey as a preference (about 2,500 people):
http://members.yahoo.com/interests/morrissey-1600030099

Maybe you can use it, it's a valuable resource (maybe forward an e-mail or something to them).

Thanks Nonesoever.

I will look into doing this as an option.

just a note, when you register on vh1 you have to put your zip code. only america has these, so if you are from uk/ireland/europe/rest of world, then you cannot register (or you can make one up, or, as i did -put the only zip code i know, 90210 -from some dodgy crap tv show i believe.)
is this another example of americans forgetting there is a world out there?

Morrissey Behind Mr. Proper Update

We know thats what 'ol Propey REALLY wants!

Great Point. I live in a South American country and we don't have these postal codes or whatever. So I just put in my friend's zip code in Boston, 02115.

Zip Codes are easy to look up though, at least for major cities in the USA.

Here is the link to that particular part of the US Postal Service's website:

question

when they "talked", was it simply talk, or were they in the preliminary stages of any sort of planning?

Do you want me to forward this to David T?
If you're too shy

Re: answer

They were in the preliminary stages of planning.

It's between the Smiths or the Cranberries as to who gets the slot, but please don't, if you write to VH-1, degrade the latter band. One Exec. favors the Cranberries, the other favors the Smiths.

The Exec. that favors the Smiths is my friend and a nice guy.

I cannot say any more.

Re: answer

But the Cranberries favor The Smiths, they talked so fondly about TQID on VH-1.
Can't they wait another 5 years? Stephan Street, please do something.
Who cares about Delores' habits anyway?

when the time is right I may do it, not now

If, and when I forward information to David, it will contain directly the people's emails at VH-1 and Sanctuary that need to hear from all of you regarding Moz Behind The Music. This way we can directly give them that Rush & Push they need to make this happen.

It is Sunday, tomorrow is a Holiday in the States. I need to give them time to hash some details out before I join forces with David. The Joyce issue is a sticky one. We cannot jump the gun!

As always, I will keep you updated on all the details.

I would very much like to see this happen.

Thank You.

patience Noney, patience

Your intentions are good. Now, chill out.

We have to play the game.

And let not anyone of us be too nosey.

Clearly, our friend is trying his best okay.

"These things take time."

Very Truly Yours,

B. Ghoul

Re: when the time is right I may do it, not now

its strange that they only have one slot to give away....and i hate to say it, but i figure that the cranberries could possibly win out because its right up their alley as it jives with their basic audience....even if, really, i'm sure there isn't a whole lot remarkable about the story of their band, a lot of people in that crowd owned "everybody's doing it, why can't we?"

now that i think about it, its highly bizarre because i think everyone in my family has a copy of that CD, and of course, i bought it first. i still remember when i was at the end of working overnights, i had it in my CD player to wake me up so i could get my sleep schedule straightened out again....but i slept until 4:30 that afternoon because my sister stole the CD at some point before my alarm went off.

she won't steal any of my other music because she thinks i listen to weird stuff.

still, they gave one to Iggy Pop and he's not exactly a household name. in the last 10 years, he had that one song that got revived for Trainspotting and has been riding it ever since with half of the commercials that are on the air today....and although i can't remember much from the bio, i don't think they went into great detail of his drug use and how they used to find him in ditches by the side of the road. its almost as exciting as the movie about Eddie and the cruisers and they kept playing that one song over and over again throughout the entire movie.

the signings posts (not the Behind The Music posts) have been fowarded

Yes. I already did that thanks.

I have also forwarded it to other Morrissey related sites as well.

WHY on earth do we need a Behind the Music on Morrissey?

WHY on earth do we need a Behind the Music on Morrissey?

I mean is there info out there that us obsessives who visit this website on a daily basis don't know?

Is VH-1 going to suddently have access to footage we've never seen or heard about?

How much new info is going to come out if this does happen?
