No problem. You going ? I love his last album. His level of consistency over the years has been amazing.

Aren't the Karma Police at work at your place of employment? Be careful, dear.
You know what? I just realized that there are at least three different ways you could take my subject heading.
Oh, well. Take whatever meaning you want.

If I'm lucky enough to get tickets, yes - as you probably know Vicar St. only has a capacity of 1,000 so I reckon it'll sell out very quickly. My most exciting moments this year have all been provided by (mostly unsuccessful) online ticket dashes

Ah well good luck. Let me know how you get on. The London gigs sold out straight away.

I did manage to get Dexys tickets today so I am quite pleased with that and also got some for SLF on 27th September which should be great.
Never heard of Vicar St as a venue. I still haven't fully recovered from Moz at the Cork Opera House where you there ?

The bouncers were barking at the fans all night to "sit down" and people were being forcibly ejected for standing up.

The things I do for that man ........

Oh rub it in, why don't you Things are so quiet here (Galway) I might have to resort to going to Groove Armada. Although in fairness I'm going to see Spiritualized on Monday - in Vicar St. as it happens. Anyway, I hope you have a great time at both.

> Never heard of Vicar St as a venue.

It's fairly new - it was purpose-built as a music venue (which is great in theory of course - and remarkable for Dublin with its usual run of venues converted from disused civil war-era ammunition dumps etc.) - but I think it works better as an accoustic/traditional music venue.

I still haven't fully recovered from

In 1999 ? No, but I've heard about it. I saw him in the Olympia, Dublin on that tour (lovely old music hall, fantastic crowd etc.) - as well as the Black Box, Galway (new, expensive, meticulous recreation of a civil war-era ammunition dump.)

What a weird time for a gig though................

You're right, of course, but in fairness :- it's not like the message board is oxter-deep in blinding new insights into Morrissey's lyrics, well-informed leaks on the likely tracklisting of the new album, exciting new polls on "your favourite Smiths/Morrissey record released when there was/wasn't an 'R' in the month" etc. etc. - from which you'd risk being distracted by the extraneous chatter.

But I promise not to do it again.
