Moz Memorabilia

Over the years I have collected various Morrisey and The Smiths items apart from the records.
I have stacks of fanzines and newspaper clipping going back to The Smiths early days,T-shirts,programmes and various other stuff.
I was wondering what is the most treasured Morrissey/ Smiths item that people have outside of records and promos.
Mine are the following:-

1) A silver Mexican coined engraved with Morrissey's face and name and the words "Mexixo 2000 Tour"

2)Programme from The Smiths "Meat Is Murder" tour of America and Canada. Front cover features Viv Nicholson and is the same as the "Barbarism Begins At Home C.D".
The band played at Kingswood in Toronto on June 9th. Thus disspelling the myth that Moz never plays Canada ....okay it was 1985/6 !

3) A coffee cup with a picture of a seated Moz on the front with the words "Two Lumps Please".

This was on sale at some USA gigs but Moz had it withdrawn as it featured Smiths lyrics and not his solo ones.

My watch, though I've posted it before...

Abrahán and I (anyone else out there?) have Smiths watches from the Smiths watch company. They were the last, truly British mechanical watch manufacturers, and they had a history going back 100 years until they closed their doors just a few years before the group formed.

Incidentally, there are a few nice looking ones on eBay right now, including a very handsome men's watch. Simple silver face with "SmithS" at the 12:00 position and "Made in England" at 6:00. That's pretty hardcore And it's only up to 22 pounds so far. I wonder who the high bidder is?

Mine is a very rare military model with a black face:

Well, I have the t-shirts shown below as well as cd's postcards, . There's a couple I can't find and I also gave 3 of them away a few years ago.
I have a first edition copy of 'James Dean Is Not Dead' and I also have the unedited manuscript of 'The Songs That Saved Your Life' book. I was lucky enough to read it months before it came on the shelves.

I own all of his solo albums, all the Smiths albums, about 10 Smiths 7 inch singles, 8 Moz 7 inch singles, 2 Morrissey singles box sets, a couple of CD singles, a few posters mainly of Moz solo and 3 Smiths t-shirts. Not much, but not bad.

Unimpressive

I have Kill Uncle on CD (HMV) - ignore the price tag, I got it for £3.99!

Ohhh when can i come around for a cup of coffee dear?
And then i'll ask for a penguin, and whilst you're in the kitchen i'll be out the door faster than a speeding bullet.

oh darn! i forget to take a picture of the morrissey coasters
well the rest of the stuff is cornier than a bowl full of cornpops. or something.

My trouser is this HUGE Morryssey poster that came with a 1985 Brazilian magazine. It's older than me...

Beside that I have the Smiths and Morrissey's Cds and Lps and 2 shirts with the picture of the guys that is inside The Queen Is Dead .

Sorry for the bad picture quality!!

You know you are welcome round anytime....as long as you don't nick anything

No nice pillow case then ? .....:)

I’d love to get my lips around that mug, Johnny.

I’ve never really been that enthusiastic about collecting memorabilia other than records, so I don’t have much to impress you with.

I have a HUGE poster of them outside SLC (TQID gatefold pose). It’s about 4 foot square. I found it one day on the wall in a classroom (I went to a very cool school) where the delinquent kids used to sit in and the teacher let me have it.

I have t-shirts depicting the sleeves to ‘Girlfriend In A Coma’, ‘How Soon Is Now’ (the re-issue though, taken from the film ‘Blow Up’), ‘The Queen Is Dead’ (the oldest t-shirt I own, at 13 years and 4 months old), ‘Rank’ and ‘The World Won’t Listen’, plus numerous Morrissey ones in various poses.

I suppose you could include NMEs from Sept. 1989 onwards that would include interviews and snippets.

I have a piece of his t-shirt, but that may not count as it was given to me by a friend. I didn’t tug for it myself.

Not much to get excited about, but still. It’s mine.

Well, I think as Ms Necter didn't mention that, Johnny, she should give it to me, don't you think? She OBVIOUSLY doesn't appreciate it

Well I didn't want to say Bluenose but is it any wonder Moz snubs Canada on such a regular basis

I bought a Morrissey coin from Mexico during the 2000 Tour, has anyone seen it? I will try to get a picture of it soon...

That would be great as I have no way of taking a picture of mine.

OMG! How could I forget that! I'm sorry. I truly love that pillow case. When I made that post, I was on my lunch and had to get back to work so I wasn't thinking straight. It's in my linen closet. I also forgot to mention my Moz & Smiths videos, magazines, posters, etc.
