My aunt just arrived from Calgary yesterday so I'll meet up with her. Thank you sir! Although, it's a tad bit early to start drinking but hey! It's the long weekend. What do I care? Cheers. I think I'll need a designated driver to take me home for lunch.

Ginger beer? That sounds vile. What is that? I've seen Apple Cider beer before. That's a travesty. I'll stick with the gool ol' Molson's or Labatt. None of that American donkey piss beer though. Blah.

We say "dollar" differently? How so?

You say "dollar" instead of "dollar"

Canadians seem to say something like "doe-ler" vs typical American "dall-er".

Shouldn't you be spending pounds, anyway?

Really? You say "dall-er"? That sounds like more like a Western New York accent. Do you live near Buffalo?
I say it like "doll-er". I find that most Americans are confused when it comes to the way Canadians speak. "Aboot", etc sound more like Canadians who live down east. (Nova Scotia, New Foundland, etc) I'll be the first to admit that their accent is equivallent to nails on a chalk board. They have awfull slang as well. But, as for Ontario, British Columbia, etc -- there might be a very slight difference between the pronounciations but nothing signifigant.
I will admit that I say "eh" at the end of almost every sentence though. I think EVERY Canadian does that, and we don't notice until we're around Americans who point it out.

You really say "eh"?

Like Bob & Doug? And you admitted you drink Moslen & Labbatt.

I'm kidding. I'm a kidder.

No, I don't live near Buffalo. Did I say I'm American?

In the words of MP Carolyn Parrish "Damn Americans … I hate those bastards."
