The Darkness are one of the best live bands I've seen this year.. You must get hold of 'Get Your Hands Off my woman (muthaf*cka)'
What a way to start the best festival in the world..
Ruffian

I thought REM were just going through the motions. I likked "Senior Senior". I think I have misspelled that but you get the drift.

Junior Senior.The Skatalites looked ace!
Anyone who went to Glastonbury and watched MORCHEEBA instead of REM clearly deserves to be shot

Ahhh Junior Senior.... I quite liked that song they did David. You do get the feeling it may well be the only good one they have though.
I think those watching Morcheeba were probably the remains of the "E" Generation...or the beginning of a new "tone deaf" generation
Talking of bands whose names begin with "M". Maloko. How crap are they ?.A poor man's St Etienne. I couldn't believe that on Jools Holland their particularly insipid brand of "dance" music allowed them to play 3 songs and Nick Cave was allowed to sing one song !
Mr Holland you should be ashamed.

I totally agree there as well. David Gray too...the word "Dull" really doesn't do him justice...I nearly died of boredom

The Darkness were given pole position on the Glasto starting grid a bit like the Quo opening Live Aid in 85!
No chance of fence hopping this year tho. Then again, not a bad thing as it helps stop those scallies nicking your tent and your dirty socks.
btw, Did they let you actually let u onto the Alps knowing you're from Bermondsey? Amazing!

did you see the interview with The Darkness on the telly? How posh are they!?! still,I suppose most cock rock-types are these days, and they are a pretty good band.

All I will say is that my hippie mate wanted to go and get down to the 80's style riffing offered by the Darkness at the Astoira a month or two back. I went reluctantly after being talked into it, and they were just fantastic. Kind of 'Tongue in cheek', but the boys can play a bit. It was all the camp costume changes made it a SHOW for a change.. A sense of humour married to some good tunes! Posh or not.. they've got a lot to offer.
Get your hands off my woman mutha fuuckkkkkkaaaaaaaahhhhh

If you were born in 1973, there's no way you fought in the "punk wars." Unless 73 is your age--which would explain the way you come off in a lot of your posts.

You've NEVER mentioned about fighting in the Punk Wars before, Patrick. Why didn't you tell us this earlier
Heh heh!!

I would have but I don't like bragging. Or repeating myself. Or repeating myself.
