The following appeared in todays MEN and they promise a Moz feature tomorrow too.
The media attention this last week has been fantastic and places Morrissey right in the spotlight where he deserves to be.

and who is the women with him????????? Also, a slight correction, it was Vinyl Revival Moz went to, not Vinyl Exchange - the manager told me this morning that it was pandamonium when he turned up - customers got him to sign everything and then begged the manager to save each item behind the counter until they returned later with the money to pay for it!!!!

Question about Linder

I've always wondered if the dark-haired woman who appears briefly in the Datarun clip from 1984, listening intently at the soundcheck, is Linder. Anyone know?

Re: Could that woman be his sister?

Thanks Shaun. Looks like the Big Fella has pulled again

Re: Question about Linder

> Linder Sterling is a thin brunette...

Yes, this woman was. Also, she looked a few years older than him, which would make it right.

Said shirt/blazer combo looks similar to the one worn on the grim day in '96 when he entered the Old Bailey for his deposition...

Cheers,

Jamie

That woman is...

Sandie Shaw. I have this footage also. You only see her sitting in at a soundcheck towards the end of the clip. She also appeared with them on a program called Charlie's Bus and sang "Jeane" while Johnny played acoustic guitar--with a bunch of children at a park, for some reason.

Wow! Thanks.

Rather sad to see Morrissey's dismissive reference to her in the I-D interview.

There is NO WAY that is Sandie Shaw. She is yet another in Moz's growing "I don't talk to them anymore" list.

Johnny, Gabriella and I are talking about something else. The woman in the Manchester picture with Morrissey is NOT Sandie Shaw. Gabriella and I were talking about a TV appearance that the Smiths did in 1984, Datarun.

That woman isn't Linder, either.

She could be anyone at all. I mean, isn't it possible that Morrissey knows people that we don't know about?

Definitely so. Looks quite like the pic of her in the Rogan book.

And she lives in Manchester, so it's quite likely.
