    Default Morrissey fans are whimps?

Morrissey did have sort of a whimpy image back in those Smiths days and I'm sure he regrets it now but I was wondering are a lot of Morrissey fans around here a bunch of sissies? Be truthful.

This is nonsense. Morrissey might have spoken of the gentler things in life in the early days of The Smiths, but his image was completely at odds with this. Remember that Moz is 6ft plus and was quite a muscular chap in those days - hardly a shrinking violet.

Default Morrissey fans can actually spell 'wimp'

We can spell the word 'wimp' correctly. Perhaps that's because we're all effete bookworms curled up with Oscar Wilde books sipping chamomile tea.

What? Did you see all of those Top of the Pops appearances? He was limp.

Morrissey just attracts a lot of the homo population and much of the homo population act a little feminine to fit in with the few stand-out homos that are genuine queens. Although there seems to be a lot more homos that are being more of their true self lately. Morrissey included.

Thanks for clearing that up. You could doubtless make a fortune by leasing your impeccable gaydar to the military or perhaps the CIA.

'Wimp' is an insult used by insecure, status-conscious males who have problems with sexual performance.

I didn't say that I have gaydar. I just know what's going on. How could anyone identify a homo if he's like any other man? That's like most of the gay population. Fewer people are in the closet these days but very few are campy like the stereotype.

How, sir, do you discern a man's sexual preference without:

    1) asking him directly and receiving a truthful answer
    2) having sex with him

If you're so knowledgable about "what's going on" then you are duty bound to share your wisdom.

j/k. Lighten up. People look for clues that support their stereotype. I don't like stereotypes but you can't stop the preconceived notions. It's just part of our awareness. I would ask unless I just don't care; which is most of the time. So I treat everyone the same unless my preconceived notions need justification for personal reasons. So I know what you are saying. Right now I'm thinking of Prince. Since he is a pop star everyone knows about him and we know the way he acts a lot of the time but we also know he loves chicks.

Right now I'm also thinking that you may be a big ol' queen but I don't care so I won't ask. He he! :-)

Just because he didn't wear tattoos and nipple rings, or sport a ridiculously pierced nose----it didn't make him a wimp! And for the tough guy types who are impressed by these insignificant things it'll please you to know that Pantera are huge Smiths fans. A friend of mine toured with Pantera in the 90's and he said that all the lead singer ever played on tour in the bus was the Smiths. Moreover, his favorite tune was ASLEEP!

I've only been a Smiths fan since '89, but I'm an old school straightedge/punk who surpisingly found that Moz was widely excepted by hardcore kids. Does everyone we admire have to be muscle bound and speak loudly? That's pathetic. Cope with your insecurity.

I know that you're attempting to joke around, but its far easier to laugh at you than with you since nothing that you've written is actually funny.

It's funny how when responding to the thread about wimps that you hide behind an alias.

It's funny how you claim to not be terribly interested in the sexuality of other men yet you comment about it ceaselessly.

That statement is correct. I stereotyped you in my head as someone who isn't nearly as intelligent as he thinks he is and I found all the clues that I needed to affirm my stereotype.

Maybe to a snob such as yourself.

Most people do. It's not a good idea to use your real name on the internet. Is that your real name? If so, you've only been using your first name up until now anyhow. Gee, I didn't know that you need my address and social security number to have a conversation.

    > It's funny how you claim to not be terribly interested in the

I do? Since when did you know me personally? I responded with my opinion to the original post. Ever since then, I've been defending myself against you. Your argument is weakening with each line you type.

I could just as easily say the same thing about you. I can sense prudence but you lack the witty intelligence you obviously consider yourself immersed in.

    > You'd love to know, but you never will

Nothing left to cling to but self-flattery and delusional impressions of my inquiring motives. Impressive.

I am indeed a snob. The second and probably final correct observation that you'll make during this thread.

    > It's not a good idea to use your real name on the internet.

Especially for someone like you who boorishly refers to gay men as "homos" and who boasts to have the ability to tell that a man is gay simply because his behavior appears to fit your childish stereotypes.

    > I've been defending myself against you.

And you will continue to defend yourself against me as long as you spout off your ignorant homophobic drivel.

    > Your argument is weakening with each line you type.

Your ability to spot a good argument is about as good as your ability to spot a gay man. In a word - nonexistent.

    > Impressive.

    I agree.

"homos" is fine and not homophobic. I never claimed to have that ability either. I tried to point this out in my last post but I'm figuring that it went over your head. Maybe you should review the thread.

    > And you will continue to defend yourself against me as long as
    > you spout off your ignorant homophobic drivel.

Oh yes, so homophobic. Read on...

    > Your ability to spot a good argument is about as good as your
    > ability to spot a gay man. In a word - nonexistent.

Who is the one that started arguing? My "ability to spot a gay man" is "nonexistant"... YOU DON'T SAY! So my message is finally getting through.

OK, so did you ever think that I may be a homosexual myself? Hmmm. Yeah....
    So, your lesson:

How, sir, do you discern a man's sexual preference without:

    1) asking him directly and receiving a truthful answer
    2) having sex with him

I should clarify more. "homos" is only short for homosexual. I prefer to refrain from using words like "gay" and "queer". They not only sound dumb but they shouldn't symbolize homosexuality. I don't care that they are popular and accepted terms.

If it is, then walk into a gay bar and refer to as many men as you can as "homos" to their faces.

    > I never claimed to have that ability either.

A cut and paste from one of your posts:

". . . much of the homo population act a little feminine to fit in with the few stand-out homos that are genuine queens. Although there seems to be a lot more homos that are being more of their true self lately."

    Or how about:

"How could anyone identify a homo if he's like any other man? That's like most of the gay population."

So let me get this STRAIGHT. You claim to have no ability to discern a man's sexual orientation, yet you attempted in this thread to make two points using the phrases " a lot more homos" and "like most of the gay population." Explain that one, Sherlock.

    > Who is the one that started arguing?

That would be me. See me previous post for the explanation.

    > OK, so did you ever think that I may be a homosexual myself?
    > Hmmm. Yeah....

Hmmm. No ... because your private life is irrelevant to this argument. I mock you for the ignorance of your statements and for no other reason. Remember, you're the one obsessed with male sexuality, mine included. It was you who said about me, "Right now I'm also thinking that you may be a big ol' queen but I don't care so I won't ask. He he! :-"

Loved that childish giggle at the end. Simply adorable!

    Discussion over.

Yeah, disscussion over. Nothing I said needs explaination. It's clear to anyone with half a brain (You must have half a brain so quit picking). Thank you very much. I hope you have learned some important lessons. Not everyone succumbs to the homo stereotype, including their use of words.

Admit defeat you silly ol' queen! He he!! :-)

Don't get get your panties in a bunch. Lighten up. You know I'm playing with you.
