What do you think of the new album? I didn't think I was that crazy about it at first, but it's grows on me more after a every listen. Plus, I'm excited that Nick Cave is doing some manic songs again, so much of his stuff is mellow anymore (it's not bad, but I just miss stuff like 'Mercy Seat' and 'City of Refuge').

I can only think of a handful of artists that put out quality album after album, and Nick is on top of the list.

I don't think so (and I hope not) - the leaving was announced some months ago, no ? (see, for example, http://www.rte.ie/arts/2003/0303/caven.html ) And he says:

"My leaving has nothing to do with artistic or personal differences with the band, I just feel it is time to concentrate on other creative areas in my life."

Cave commented: "We have parted as friends and we will miss him dearly."

I think it's a grower mate for sure. The 2nd track...is it "She Wants You"
? is one of the most beautiful songs I have heard in my whole life.
