in relation of the amount of music you choose to hear, which percentage are morrissey/smiths songs?

I listened to Bona Drag this week. And a whackload of Madonna. Madonna. Madonna. Madonna. Madonna. And a whole bunch of radio shows.

more than 50% of time I listen morrissey's music

I would say, on average, that moz/smiths comprise about 40%-50% of my music listening.

Well, when i was around 18-19 years old, the only thing i would listen to was the Smiths/Morrissey, and Kirsty MacColl on occasion. This went on for about a year and a half. I also could not go five minutes without thinking about Morrissey.

Seeing how i was so obsessed that i probably burnt myself out, i now only listen to the Smiths/Morrissey about once every month or two...

So, lemme get this straight...

you post on the Morrissey-solo board, on average, MORE OFTEN than the amount of times you listen to a Smiths/Morrissey song? WEIRD!

Wow.
I think I listen to Morrissey/Smiths about 80% of the time. One album I NEVER get tired of though is the newest Creatures: Anima Animus. Every song is beautiful, never boring. It's brillantly perfect!

Yeah, it's a brilliant album, isn't it? I think Siouxie Sioux is one of the most respectable female musicians out there.

So, are you saying that by law, the only way i am allowed to post on this board is if i listen to the Smiths/Morrissey for five hours each day?

Not at all. I believe what I said was, "WEIRD!"

Why is that so weird? You can be a fan of someones music without listening to them every day or every month for that matter. Plus I think most people, once they have completely absorbed an artists catalog, don't sit there and listen to them every day. Nomatter how much you love their music that would get pretty mundane. So you revisit their albums for time to time when the mood strikes. That doesn't change the fact that they are or may be your favorite artist.

Thank you, Beautiful Stranger!! I'm glad someone understands. I mean, i was a serious Moz obsessive at one time in my life, but that was almost 8-9 years ago! If i were still analyzing his every move today, wouldn't that be disturbing? I'd be in the psyche house for sure! Believe me, i put in a lot of time and energy into my little bout of hero worship (not to mention money!!),so i think i've earned the title of genuine fan. Oh, hell...what's a genuine fan anyway?? There's really no way that could be defined objectively.
