She had a wonderful vioce and was a great piano player. And she stayed true to her politics. Didn't she sing at the funaral thing of Dr. Martin Luther King?

She was an interesting person.. very bitter and twisted around the edges (She never got a penny for 'My Baby Just Cares for me') allegedly... but an enigmatic talent.

I started finding out about Nina simone songs and am quite enjoying it!! 'Missisppii Goddam' for example, but listen ;'Don't let me be misunderstood' or 'I put a spell on you', 'Love me or leave me', 'Mr Bojangles'.. suits a certain taste of course... and ceryianly I'm a rock whore who can appreciate the finer edges of a voice!
