Default The String Quartet Tribute To The Smiths

So I was taking a study break last night to order a couple CDs from Amazon, and after getting The Very Best of Cher, Amazon recommended I purchase some string quartet doing Smiths covers. And so I got it. Is it any good? There's still time for me to cancel the order. I had to place the order though, because they were telling me there were only 5 copies left. Now there's only 3 left.

    Default Gunman terrorizes Oaf's neighborhood

BTW, we had a bit of excitement yesterday in my neighborhood. If any of my friends or enemies ever wondered where I type my messages from, you may have seen Oaf's stomping grounds in those helicopter shots on CNN and FOX, when that deranged gunman took over the trippy new Frank Gehry designed Peter B. Lewis building in Cleveland.

Hey, I guess it got that beautiful building some national publicity.

Peter B. Lewis, btw, is the pothead billionaire CEO of Progressive Insurance.
We may only have one billionaire in Cleveland, but the one we've got is cool enough to pass you the bong.

The bits I heard sounded good.. I quite like this take on getting a contemporary classic rock song and Classicalising it (no such word!)

Don't cancel.. but give us a good review when it arrives.

My best friend was in that building last night. She peed her pants, hehehe. Seriously, I shouldn't laugh, but damn, she peed her pants hehehe. I live by Cedar & Lee. Aside from Wilma Smith, who isn't a pothead in this town?

OMG, dude, I live in Little Italy! I would've pooped in my panyhose, man.
I'm glad she got out safely. = )

Um, this is just too funny to me. I got the gunman's name from the paper and...fucking ay...do a Google search on "Biswanath Halder" before they take this shit down. It's too funny. Too fucking classic. What a kook. He's involved in every fucking extremist left Howard Zinn/Zmag/Noam Chomsky shit you can think of. He even signed petitions for Not In Our Name and ANSWER. ROFL!

So now it's offical. A member of the Zmag crowd has terrorized Oaf's neighborhood. I warned you all about these people, didn't I??????

    Here's his home page: http://junior.apk.net/~halder/

But check this out on Iraq: http://junior.apk.net/~halder/iraq.html

Of course they don't mention this in the news stories, even though they mention his web site: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=533&ncid=533&e=3&u=/ap/20030510/ap_on_re_us/university_shooting

Not that it necessarily means anything, but they sure would've mentioned it had he been a member of, say, the NRA!

Anyway, I kindly ask the kooks in the Leave-Saddam-Alone movement to please stop gunning down innocent people in my neighborhood. Thanks.

I downloaded "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore" and "Please Please Please Let Me Get What I Want". It was good. Relaxing.

And maybe you should get stoned while you listen to it...it seems like it'd suit that purpose well.

Sounds like a good plan to me! And Amazon tells me the CD is in the mail.

The String Quartet should get stoned. And I mean that in the Biblical sense.

Default Was this guy an exceptional case, or are others in the Hate-America Crowd similarly coming unhinged?

Perhaps I'm just being a worry-wart after a Znet nutter terrorist shot up my neighborhood, but if any of you who are caught up in extremist-left political cults such as Noam Chomsky's are experiencing irrational thoughts of anger and hatred, and feeling on the brink coming unglued and snapping like this gunman, you can email me and I will try and get you placed in a nice mental institution. THERE IS HELP OUT THERE - SEEK IT BEFORE YOU BRING HARM TO YOURSELF OR OTHERS!

I say this because I care and am concerned. = )

My Dad was telling me today that the gunman went in that building to have his revenge on some hackers that'd f'd up his website. Aparently a couple cwru students had hacked their way into his website and completely toasted 3 years of research he'd done.

Pity one innocent person had to die. Did you hear about the other guy who got shot? Right in the ass, yes, in the ass. I don't know whether to laugh or cry about that.

Default Hey Oaf!!! What happened to your smoking gun for that mobile weapons factory

Admit it...you fell for Fox's hype as they tried to bury the story about Bush lying about his $1 million dollar joy ride out to that carrier. Too many questions about his status during Vietnam and too many questions about the transparent bullshit they first tried to sell us about him having to fly by jet out there because it was 100's of miles out to sea.

You will see the aircaft footage in his re-election campaign, guaranteed.

I don't know why it's some sort of story that a president did a photo-op.

Isn't that what they all do? Isn't that just part of the job?

Did you go after Clinton for *his* aircraft carrier photo-ops?

    For example:

I see how you ignored any reference to the "chemical lab"/water treatment trucks. Fox News...We distort, you baaaaa

Did Clinton land by Helicopter or did he have them delay the ship and lie to the press and the people about it so he could have a joyride on a jet and make footage for his re-Selection campaign. The Clinton photo-Op...did they use that in a re-election commercial? I guarantee you they'll use Dubya's. There is a difference between the two. A weak attempt to even compare the two.

First of all, what the hell does FOX have to do with anything? Everybody reported that story, as the information was disclosed at a Pentagon briefing.
So yes, they reported, and you can decide.

Now, what am I supposed to say? That story hasn't advanced yet. They're still analyzing the vehicle.

He doesn't have to use it in ads. Thanks to the Democrats grasping for straws over this, the images are being firmly cemented in the minds of Americans.

I really don't see why I'm supposed to care about a photo-op. You're just reading your Democratic Party talking points as you always do.

If you go to the web site from where I got that photo of Clinton, you'll find assloads of photo-op pics of Clinton, many of which are on aircraft carriers.

It's part of what presidents do. You realize a president is a politician, right? And also, in part, a ceremonial leader?

I happened to enjoy this photo-op, excessive as it may have been. It was cool.
The sailors enjoyed it and I enjoyed it.
