    Default Songs I heard wrong

I was just listening to This Charming Man and remembered how I misheard the lyrics the first time I heard it. Could have sworn he said

    "a dressed up country boy".

First time I heard Now I Am A Was I thought I heard

"now I am a wuss" (NA slang for wimp/pussy)

Anyone else hear anything that isn't there in Moz's Lyrics?

(This is my first time starting a thread. I'm just so sick and tired of the hate-mongers and puerile flame baiters that I thought I'd try something not unkind)

Default good for you, trying to start a wholesome thread and all.

his words are confusing enough as they are.

though i have heard him say in interviews that he tries to:''make them as direct as possible''

hence we end up singing along to pages from his diary.

For years I thought it was ' jumped-up country boy' until I found out the real lyrics. I still don't know what a pantry boy is though. Anyone help with that?
And well done, Mmmmmmmmm, for diverting us from all that personal-attack stuff that's here. It's tedious in the extreme.

    Default A Pantry Boy...

That line was taken from the film 'Sleuth', I believe, in which Laurence Olivier says to Michael Caine "You're nothing but a jumped-up pantry boy".

I thought it was "I'm just a country boy" when I first heard it.
