It's quite clear the record industry aren't going to suddenly embrace Mozzer and his new material with open arms.

I don't know what the US public is forced to listen to, but in the UK we are currently being bombarded with label endorsed 'musical fuckwits'.

Please help me demonstrate to the BPI and record companies worldwide that there is an intelligent audience which is desperate to hear new material from Mozzer. I need 50,000 genuine signatures to present a case...in theory this should be easy if you consider the number of hits on this and other Moz sites.

As far as I know, gopetition is an ethical and non-spamming site.

Please support me in this effort to get Morrissey heard again.

As I said before, if there are any official objections to this, please let me know and I will close the petition.

No offense (I think your heart is in the right place) but a few hundred, or even thousand, signatures of Morrissey die-hards isn't improve his chances of getting a deal.

    Default Well, Why Not?

Well...it can't do any harm. If 100,000 signatures corresponded to album sales, we'd have a Gold album by UK standards...it just might make a few labels think.

All I do know is that once again the post-tour trail has gone stone cold and I feel another three years or so of inactivity coming on.

This is interesting, we tried to do the same thing for the B52's on their web site forum, (before it was suddenly no more for some mysterious reason), and we had long debates about it. I may go sign the petition but you must realize that a) Morrissy has a reason for not doing what we'd like him to do, b) don't you think he's considered all of his options, c) he has well paid people to do this kind of thing for him, why all of a sudden would they listen to a couple hundred (I don't know about thousand) fans? This might be a nice gesture for him at the most, but I really doubt it will change anything.

Just about every group of fans for (has been) music group/artist has done this, and I have yet to see that it's successful.
