Julia Riley - the real reason?

I think I read in one of her fanzines that her husband died and that listening to Morrissey kept her from going over the edge. Maybe Morrissey knows this and appreciates that this is why Julia has to go to every gig. If so, then I think this is quite sad and touching and don't understand why people have to be cruel and jealous just because she has the means and time to go to every show. After all, we all need to cling to something in this life.

Re: Julia Riley

...And she's a really nice person

Re: Julia Riley

Or maybe she's the reason he's no longer celibate.

Cheers,

Jamie

the only gripe i have with this wowman is that she butts in line. otherwise i could care less.

also how funny that listening to morrissey kept her from going over the edge as you said -- i had always assumed she alread WAS over the edge. you mean to tell me that her behaviour could actually get wackier?!? that is pretty funny.

Re: Julia Riley

That is sad for anyone to loose a partner however I remember frequently corresponding with Julia when she started the fanzine thing and I was advised that she was spoilt by money, lots of it. Hence the extreme quality of her fanzine with gold letterheads etc. when really it was a shite fanzine which lacked the imagination and humour displayed by so many of the inky rags especially the UK ones.

She was also very huffy claiming she was qualified(?!)in so many ways to be a (the) Morrissey fanzine editor which I never could understand. Very much a "biggest fan" sort of deal. Scary. She certainly never, mentioned any "husband" in those days.

Who knows and, quite frankly, who cares?

how old is she, anyway???

She's welcome in Birmingham anytime

i feel bad for her. i really do.

i feel bad for her. she needs to obsess on someone like morrissey who is unobtainable for various reasons i'm no psycologist, but........

her fanzine was ok-i seen it. lots of fluff. nothing substantial. i hear she looks quite attractive. plus she has morrissey mentioning her onstage. come on now. can anyone else here say the same. she has something he wants.
she is more attractive to him than we are in a sick way.

No way, there was a picture of her on here a while back and she's pretty ropey.
She might be a nice person, but definitely not nice looking.

Ha ha.. you are so forward sir. Is this enigmatic Julia a bit of a babe then pd?

Ropey?

Sorry for my ignorance, what does "ropey" mean?

I think I saw Julia Riley at the 2nd Vegas show -- is she a very, very thin and petite woman with long dark hair?
