Nov 15 La Cigale Paris, France

There seems to be a further european tour in the air...

Isn't it odd that he said he had nothing to do with this account, was very insistent, and yet...

Hold up, this gets weird - it looks like Flo Morrissey...

which begs the question, who exactly is running that FB page, and how have they dropped a ball?

It's Bandsintown's error, not the page runner's. The Tour Dates tab on the FB page is powered by Bandsintown. For accuracy, the page runner should just manually add tour dates instead of linking up the Facebook account to a third party. Bandsintown frequently displays false or mixed up tour information.

Edit: I should add that Bandsintown is a concert listing application commonly used by official band pages as an easy way to list tour dates and provide links to purchase tickets. The problem is, Bandsintown functions as a data aggregator and that data is not necessarily approved for accuracy by the individual artists with a listing on their website. So although it provides an easy method for organizing tour dates on social media, it's also extremely unreliable and confusing because of the inevitability of situations like this.

Aha ... Do you actually think that if the page runner is someone close to Morrissey, he would link up the the Facebook account to a third party?

Obviously I can't say for sure, but it is becoming the norm for official band Facebook accounts to do this, and plenty already do, so it wouldn't be anomalous.
