Thank you so much, doc, you're one of today's heros at solo!

Is this the same one currently up on Smiths Torrents?

My recording (larryrulz) is on both DIME and Smiths Torrents. There is also a second recording made with an iPhone that is available on The Traders' Den.

There is an uncirculated recording using Schoeps MK41s mics which I'm trying to get the taper to share on DIME.

Ah, then thank you! I'm currently enjoying your recording on my commute to work! Nicely done.

I now have the uncirculated recording (Schoeps mics) and it's a HUUUUUGE upgrade over mine. The taper will be sharing this soon on DIME. I'm in the process of dubbing his audio onto my video. Here are the first two songs:

and the third:

The excellent Schoeps source is now on DIME. I also put it on Smiths Torrents. I recommend you discard mine and replace it with this one!

I'll upload the mp3's later today. I just want the taper's permission first.

First of all thanks (again) for your efforts here. Having said that, I think you're either being unnecessarily hard on yourself or overly effusive about the Schoeps tape.

In my opinion both are pretty fair audience recordings; I've heard better and I've heard WAY worse. I don't think his is a huge improvement on yours. I almost prefer yours, to be honest.

But, again, both are good artifacts from this tour leg, and much appreciated regardless of which is better.

Interesting...thanks and you're welcome!

Just saying, on a track by track comparison, overall his might be a little more...I don't know, open-armed, roomier...but yours seems louder and a bit more upfront. Somewhat crisper.

In other words...

Mainly I like the amount of instrument separation on his recording. Moz's vocals and Boz's acoustic guitar especially stand out.

I'm a big fan of instrument separation in general. Gimme a soundboard and I'm happy.
