Did I get this right that in today’s BBC 6 morning show with Chris Hawkins Johnny Marr recommends Morrissey’s "First of the Gang to Die"? Chris asked for songs with a character in it and then Marr jumped in (via text message or social network) and suggested "Hector".

I just listened it from iPlayer, Chris mentioned that Johnny Marr replied to "Yabadabadaa" Hector.

Just after Johnny's Easy Money (01:51).

I really don't think he meant that the suggestion of "Hector" (as the most unlikely name for a gang member) came FROM Johnny—it came from someone on Twitter. When he said "from Johnny Marr to this message from Yabba Dabba Dabba," I'm pretty sure he meant that he was transitioning from Johnny Marr (the last song played) to Morrissey (the next song played) on the show. That's all.
