Agreed!
The Smiths and Morrissey, obviously.
The Fall (Live at the Witch Trials) - one of theirbest still, arguably THE best.
Vampire Weekend (Eponymous) - that opening trio of songs (Mansard roof, Oxford comma, a-punk) is virtually unrivalled
And Also the Trees (Farewell to the shade) - my favourite aatt, and certainly the most criminally underrated album of the 90s (with which few will agree, thus proving my point, or perhaps not)
The Cure (three imaginary boys) - has stood up remarkably well to time, and remains to me mych more interesting and listenable than mulch like "Disintegration".
Foals (Antidotes)- just a brilliant album, one of my favorites of the millennium
Pixies (Surfer Rosa)
Propaganda (a secret wish)
Joy Division (Unknown pleasures)
