Neighbours battle music venues over noise

After he complained to the council, the city's music community mobilised in support of the venue. Elbow's Guy Garvey, The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and the Musicians Union have given it their backing, while an online petition http://www.change.org/p/manchester-city-council-to-remove-our-statutory-nuisance-abatement-notice has 74,000 signatures.

ahh incubus who ive seen a couple of times. thanks as i just couldnt seem to place him. he has very distinct facial features that i knew id seen before somewhere. nice band with some good songs like megalomaniac etc.

Johnny Marr joins live.
Tuesday sees Johnny Marr joining to spend the last hour of the show with Shaun. Last year saw Johnny release his debut solo album 'The Messenger', he joins Shaun to chat about his second solo album 'Playland' which is out on October 6th. Johnny will also be bringing in a selection of music to pepper the hour so expect some interesting and banging choices from Mr Marr.

He came on approx 9.10am until the end of the show.

He’ll always be most fondly remembered for his influential turns with The Smiths.

There were smatterings of Smiths classics including Panic, Stop Me... and Bigmouth Strikes Again and an encore of How Soon Is Now? with The Cult’s Billy Duffy...
