In case anyone is interested, Matt is playing drums with Jason Narducy (Bob Mould, Superchunk, Robert Pollard) and his band Split Single. Looks like the show is sold out, but this tweet from Jason made me laugh..

What band was he in in 2000? I assume he is referring to an opening slot on that tour. I know The Shelia Divine (Boston band) did the shows in the Northeast but can't remember what other bands opened in other parts of the country.

The band was Verbow..They played the Chicago, Detroit and Akron dates. During that 2000 tour Moz had locals open the shows

He definitely should. I enjoyed the openers on that tour and thought it seemed like a magnanimous gesture on Moz's part.

Jason Narducy rules. He’s an awesome addition to Bob Mould’s live band.
He also is great with Superchunk taking place for Laura on tour.

Bob Mould's Philly show in 2012 with Jason and Jon Wurster as his backing band where he played Sugar's Copper Blue in its entirety was my favorite show of 2012. I thought I had an out-of-body experience during Helpless.
