2002 Version of "Everyday is Like Sunday" is too slow

I much prefer the 1991/1992 live renditions I have heard, such as the one on 'Higher Education'. Faster and "twangy." The version they are doing on this tour, and last night on CBS, puts me to sleep! Its even slower than the studio version! BORING.

it IS slower... but if you've seen the new shows (i think you have), it's the only track that's been slowed down in a beautiful set of Moz classics. i don't mind hearing one classic with a gentle treatment.

p.s. i thought "Everyday" was a great performance on Craig. (although can you imagine if he would have sung "The Queen Is Dead" or something?!)

i think if you look at Morrissey's current setlist, he's really emphasizing his gentle & beautiful songs (but not necessarily slow)... instead of more "rockier" ones on past tours.

I agree that its too slow. I was thinking this the whole time it was on last night. It was still good though. Most memorable indeed.
