Whatever Kristeen Young has or will ever have is based on one thing, she has an opening between her legs that her 70 year old producer (with his money and many famous connections) can stick his aged cock into. This works out well for both of them, but it's nothing to be respected. The reason I'm writing is because I'm thinking of doing an in depth article on Kristeen, I'm not really a fan of her music but I do think shes a wonderful case study of a modern desperation for fame and she seems fearless as a game player
Its the amount of lies she tells which I find most engaging. Pop and rock is an art form based on false myth, half truths and games, however I've never really come across anyone as desperate as Kristeen.
I'v been following her from, around, her first tour with Morrissey and the stories I've heard, from crew, old peers and on here have painted a picture of Kristeen as quite the warped woman
She is in many ways completely at odds with the kind of artist Morrissey is, not to mention the kind of person he is.
Morrissey remains interesting and has become an icon in spite of of his made up myth, in fact most of his myth is, at least, partly based in truth, Kristeen is from the Madonna, GaGa, Marilyn Manson school of plastic myths and hollow "look at me" antics. In short she is typically American in her quest for fame and to be known.
Morrissey was successful because he stood for more than that, sure the guy wanted fame but The Smiths were about being human and created art that came from truth. They wanted fame but the right fame and on their terms.
As The years have passed Morrissey has become more about maintaining his myth and playing games but the spirit is, at times, still there, even if it wasn't he has done enough in his past to negate how he is now.
Kristeen is completely different to this, she is nearly 40 has failed to be the act she wanted and now has sold herself to Morrissey who basically owns her - she exists only through him, which considering she has been on and off his pay roll since 2008 and has had the help of Tony and his friends for over 10 years is a sign that she hasn't got much to offer the world - apart from her desperation
Its that desperation that interests me, its at her very core as is her lies. They seem to come from a place more troubling, than your average wanna be. She is a serious BS artist
For instance lying about your age is common, pretending she formed her singing voice before she found Kate Bush is forgivable - its always important to hid your key influences, at least for a new artist and Kristeen is the oldest new artist in history
Its the rest of her BS that that shows that she is a compulsive lier, from pretending her most beloved films and books are ones that Morrissey happens to like, even though she, literally, only heard of them 2 hours before she tells the her public to saying weeks ago she has seen lypsinka ( a Morrisseys drag act of choice ) loads of times even though she has seen him once.

Apart from the usual hype about how Morrissey is in love with her ( as friend like he has said he "loves" many friends and celebs ), Bowie writes songs with her (because Tony is Davids mate) and the story of GaGa stealing her "fashions" (True but it was one dress and GaGa steals from everyone).
The part that is very very interesting and gives credence to lots of the stories about her lying ways and especially the lie about the way Morrissey found her , is how she met Dave Grohl its a same but different version of her lie about how she met Morrissey
She claims "April Richardson. She made him a mix tape and one of my songs was on it. He looked me up on YouTube and then we started emailing each other".
So Morrissey by chance found her while Tony was mixing live footage and Dave found her from a mix tape by chance. The real truth is Tony set up both meetings
This is such BS its frightening, Dave is a very good friend of Tony's, is she trying to tell the world although Tony and he are good friends, Dave never heard about Kristeen his partner for over 10 years!!! LOL

I do have wide range of projects going on at the moment, so I may not get around to writing about Kristeen but if anyone has any good info and stories, I would be most grateful

So Kristeen isn't the only one who stole someone else's design idea. I have no idea who designed it first but I bet Mr Chalayan is the winner on that design. NOT Kristeen. I was kinda surprised when Kristeen Young boldly claimed the bubble dress was hers because Chayalan got a lot of buzz when he originated it, and thereafter. There was an interview just this year with him where it was referenced again, so it's definitely something he's known for. I suppose if you're willing to chop a decade off your age, stealing a dress doesn't seem like a biggie.
