Holistic Medicine

Whilst we're on the subject of alternative therapies...does anyone actually believe crystals and energy therapies work?

I like to do a good pull once in a while, a tug really.

Yeah but the burning question is do you deposit your oil in the toilet or the sink?

Having used the oil swishing method for many weeks now I have to inform you of a new phenomenon. I spit it out in the toilet after I am done and in the toilet by the waterlevel there are growing absolute black germs or bacteria. This did not happen before and I have not done any other changes. Since i flush the toilet well after spitting it out I doubt the oil can make things grow so I am baffled by what it can be.

I now have to clean the toilet more often as this black layer turns up every now and then and I have no idea what it is.

Could be germs or bacteria that's been drawn from your ailing body, could be evidence of demons that gargling oil might of removed. Or it could just mold growing on goz n oil.

Our toilet got real moldy when my ex got diabetes. I noticed the mold before he was diagnosed, he was literally pissing sugar into the bowl for months and it got moldy at an astonishingly fast rate. Wouldn't hurt to check your blood sugar at a clinic or a diabetic friend's house.

Ummmm, when given a task I work my ass off. :p

Yes but it the thing is these things do not get stuck in the toilet as they are flushed away immediately. This has come about since I started the oil swish and both me and my girlfriend started using that method at the same time so obviously we both flush it out into the toilet.

I know about the sugar in urine and that smells a lot as well as most nurses will know simply from smell that someone has just had lots of sugar before leaving a sample. I do get changes in my urine but it is connected with me having gone for a long run in severe heat. My urine is always clear and the only time it is not always clear is sometimes in the morning but that is natural unless it is very dark of course.

There is something with the oil swishing that makes very dark things grow fast in the toilet by the waterline. It may be the oil or the combination of oil and saliva and the other germs in a toilet. But since we flush immediately I suspect that something comes out with the oil after a swish and it may be bacteria from the mouth. Diabetes symptoms are often very obvious with thirst and all kinds of symptoms and I do not have any of them.

That's good. Keep up the oil swishing. The sufis would approve.

THere's the part of me that wants to eat potato chips and drink beer and watch brainless television to give my brain a break from being my brain all day. THen there's the part of me that wants to get a massage and salt scrub treatment, wear loose linen clothing, drink a lot of water and zen out to philosophical subtitled movies from foreign countries in a room with a burning candle with a wind chime clanking in the background outside. THAT me wants to do this:

Q: Some of us have naturally dark circles under our eyes even though we eat and sleep well. What do you recommend? ~ Sylvia Tawse, founder of The Fresh Ideas Group

A: While dark circles under the eyes can be due to lack of sleep, a poor diet or some types of anemia, there is often an underlying cause that is missed. In Ayurveda, we diagnose the body in sequence, starting with the body’s ability to process waste. There are two drains—the lymph and the intestines—that are critical here. The intestinal tract is drained by an impressive series of lymphatic channels that escort toxic waste out of the intestines into the lymphatic system where they are neutralized by some 500 lymph nodes and then eliminated. If this system breaks down, the lymph system will become congested and waste will back up into the blood, joints, muscles and often the skin. If the cervical lymph in the neck is also congested, then the lymph drainage under the eyes can become compromised and dark circles appear.

To get to the bottom of this, we need to restore our digestive system and de-stagnate the lymph system around the guts and in the head, face and neck. Sip hot water every 10-15 minutes throughout the day for two weeks, to stimulate lymphatic drainages and re-hydrate the body. Secondly, begin to eat a 70 percent alkaline to 30 percent acid diet during the detoxifying months of spring to flush the lymphatic system (check the home detox at lifespa.com in “Articles” called The Short Home Cleanse.) Make sure you have a complete bowel movement within an hour after getting up every morning. If this is not the case, take 500 to 2,000 mgs. of trifala, an Ayurvedic herbal formula, in the morning and night as needed. Then there is my favorite lymph-moving herb, manjistha, similar to beets, which will begin the draining process. Stick with it—this is a tenacious but treatable condition!

I moved on to coconut oil instead which kills bacteria and it cured my tooth ache in a few days. I use it in the morning for 20 minutes and for 10 minutes before I go to bed. I also drink everything but water with a straw now since the acid from most drinks are bad for your teeth.

How on earth did you manage to involve the sufis and sharia laws into this?

Just fascinated about your thinking behind that. You seem to approve of islam a lot on these pages which is strange for a christian american.

You brought sharia law into this, not me. I'm spiritual. There's more to life than labels, taste all the beers instead drinking from a single keg. Christianity is my Rolling Rock but I love an occasional Modelo and IPA.

FYI my favorite teacher of mysticism is Islamic.

Long answer when a short one would have been more than sufficient. Maybe you just confused indian sufism with persian sufism.........

I think you are more than mystical to ever need a teacher. I think most people do taste a lot of things before they settle for one cause how would they have chosen the things they like if they had not?

Zombie sauce is gross.

Interesting article on how 97% of patients with terminal cancer have had root canals.

I've recently gone through some tooth stuff and talked to God about it (in my weird way) and have hypothesized the idea with a strong nod of agreement from God that our teeth are a bit like spark plugs. They're more than just for chewing food, there's an energy trapped in them. This guy suggests that rotten teeth can be cleaned and put BACK in your mouth, they they shouldn't be removed ever.

BTW, God thinks I'm crazy regarding the idea the govt is spiking our fountain sodas with aspartame. Sometimes it takes days to work shit out but you gotta put the idea out there for funzies. :D

About the stuff growing in the toilet... If this oil removes enamel from the sink maybe it removes enamel from the toilet bowl. This would make the surface rougher which would allow bacteria to cling to it and not be washed away. If the toilet bowl was so smooth, for example, that nothing could adhere to it the water alone would keep it spotless. But maybe this oil etches it a bit.

It makes me think you shouldn't rinse with the oil very long, or every day, and you shouldn't brush with the oil in your mouth or right after, assuming it does somehow affect the enamel in the sink, it might etch your teeth.

I love that people get angry about the theories other people have about how they clean their teeth. :D

Next time you have a chat with god please thank her for the gift of cancer.

How come god always talks to unstable and mentally impaired people and not intellectuals such as Richard Dawkins, Charlie Rose, and Carl Sagan? Same thing with alien abductions. Aliens always select to study uneducated, backwards, wackos from the remote corners of Oklahoma and not Ivy League educated corporate lawyers living in New York City, or scientists from Oxford? Wouldn't you rather study the cream of the crop rather than the below average humans? Hmm.
