My political duel with "American Patriot" L. Oaf... Whom do you support, folks, opinions please...
>> Laughing Oaf
Me
Short pre-history: Oaf used "Pretty Woman" movie as an example of a wonders and benefits of American Consumerism... I objected... Argument started...
> Geesh, I mention one scene in a movie to make a small point with, and you
> feel the need to give me your review of the entire thing, which is
> irrelevant. I don't care whether it's a good, or even a
> "misogybistic", movie or not! It's beside the point.
You mean misogynistic?
No, it's not! You chose yourself this particular movie among zillion others, so please, be ready to accept my SUBJECTIVE reaction to your choice...
> But I'm glad to see you have other things on your mind, for once, besides
> your sexuality. Lets see what that is......
Well, thanks, I'm not a one-track mind... indeed... It just happen to me to spend undue amount of time discussing Chris "coming out"...
> As I said, I'll take our consumer culture over the altervatives I observe
> elsewhere and in the past, as vulgar as our culture may appear at first.
What about countries like France or Germany, where social benefits are way better then America's and mandatory all-population-accesible medical coverage exists, unlike in the USA... What about Australia and New Zealand... where society is more humanistic and less consumer-oriented... What about country Sweden where level of crime 10 times less then USA's... There are alternatives... You are being so blind in your jingoism, you are not realizing that you sound like some kind of American version of Le Pen... (America is great, the rest of the world is shit... They, damn foreigners ought to look up to Yankees...) Too bad, your kind of knee-jerking jingoism became mainstream after Sept 11...
Did you ever asked yourself a question, why the Arab world masses support this crazy criminal scumbug Bin Laden... Is it because Arabs are naturally evil, or it is because America is treating Palestinians like human garbage and supporting such criminal regimes as Kuweit, Saudi Arabia and Israel with Sabra and Shatila war criminal Ariel Sharon at the top??? Why say Jews in Europe have human rights and Palestinians at occupied territories do not? (By the way I admire Jewish peoples for their historical socialist and left wing traditions, especially Karl Marx and Leo Trotski. Also Vladimir Lenin was half-Jewish by his mom... I just very skeptical about Israel's idea of European Jews living at Palestine, where frankly they don't belong... Why not to help Israeli Jews to return to Europe and to the Arab world, where they lived for thousands of years, instead of making them hostages to the imperialist plans of Ariel Sharon and Republicans Inc at the tiny piece of real estate called Palestine... Jews could do way much better elsewhere then in Palestine... Especially with their high percentage of PhDs and highly-qualified workers and craftsmen, not to mention artists and actors...) Just a question... Maybe Bin Laden crimes are much worse worse then anything wrong America did to the rest of the world... YET... What about Bush family criminal connections to Saudi Arabian oil-rich Islamic reactionary dynasty and Bush family criminal connection to Kenneth Lay, Enron ex-CEO. What about Dick Cheney highly questionable business practices... Sept 11 is not an excuse for me to let Republicans off so easily...
And, oops, what about American border patrols criminal mistreatment of Mexican so-called "illegal" immigrants. Border patrols have a license to shoot at Mexican workers, whose only crime is their desire to work hard and honest for the American economy for minimal below-poverty wages, and, of course, American economy desperately needs those workers... But how convenient is for American elites to keep those honest and needed workers "illegal" for the purpose of exploiting them... Why not to open USA/Mexican borders... if you are such a "market economy" superfreak...

Of course, I support Iranian peoples desire to get rid of reactionary Islam and be free and secular... (Just a notice, at my book, all organized religions are evil and designed to scum ignorant peoples of their savings and keep them under control of elite classes) But what about old Reagan-era Iran-contras affair... USA selling arms to Iran and helping Nicaraguan contras... Oliver North, does this particular name ring your bell, mister Yankee Doodle?

The same Gorbachev who sold out his own country to the Russian mob and CIA? The same Gorbachev who licks collective American ass and enjoys San Francisco girlfriend after his wife Raisa died? I talked with about 10 Russians here at Sunset, Hollywood and about 80% of them think Gorbachev was a crook and CIA agent at first place... Communism was obsolete and yes, homophobic and sexist ideology, but modern Russia now is semi-feudal semi-capitalist mess, with workers starving and Russian intellectuals escaping to the West, cause Russian factories and scientific institutions are ruined by criminal Gorby, Chubais and Eltzin cliques of thieves and economic criminals... Russians are not dying from hunger now only because they are shamefully selling their oil and gas to the West by ridiculously low prices... They lost their dignity under capitalism... Apparently, Americanization of Russia brought happiness only to the selected few, about 3% of general populations... Those are former high-level Communists and Mafia types who got very rich selling out their country to the West and shipping those stolen monies to the Swiss banks... Do Russian Communists sold out completely... maybe not yet, cause there is some opposition to the current Russian regime (Zuganov and Zirinovski communist parties)... but they are themselves weak, stupid and discredited themselves by antisemitism and corruption...
So man, I could talk a little bit more then just "gay issues and sexuality" So don't be so proud, my geeky friend...

Thanks, buddy... could I please flush your advice down the toilet?

Yes, I'm being honest here...

Oh, my fault... It is famous Los Angeles shopping plaza (in Beverly Hills district of Greater LA, next to Santa Monica Blvd... ), favored by LA women and gays for variety of boutiques and department stores.

Man, not all peoples in entertainment business are crooks and gold-diggers... Ever heard of indie movies, ever heard of peoples like Spike Lee or Eric Jermain or John Waters or OLIVER STONE etc etc...

Maybe you should check out yourself first for symptoms of "obsessive American patriotism and jingoism paranoia"

Oh, excuse me, sorry darling for hurting you, let's be feely touchy now, let's read together Chupak Chopra and give each other a healing hugs... maybe kisses too, but only if you are handsome... I have a high standards, you know...
