I just read that Patti Smith is sick with the flu, but still managed to perform last night @ Carnegie Hall with her daughter to support Tibet.

The most exciting part about finally getting to see Moz in LA for the 1st time, and on my birthday, is actually getting to see Patti Smith for the 1st time ever!! She's an amazing performer and a legend in her own right. I'm sure Moz is honored to have her opening for him & is the main reason LA & SD weren't postponed. I'm guessing San Diego is probably the test concert to be sure he's up to the LA show. If the Moz fans can put aside some of their bitter squabbling, please wish her a speedy recovery.
